The beam of light shot out with immense, concentrated power and slammed into the air ahead!

The energy began scattering and spreading. The blue light was like ink dropped into water, tearing open a hole several meters in diameter in the void. Beyond the hole was darkness, with stars faintly visible.
Director Nick, Dr. Selvig, Hawkeye, and the others were stunned. Amid their shocked expressions, only An Yang, whose figure was completely concealed, focused his gaze on the cube firing the beam and slowly began walking toward it.
Suddenly, there was a deafening boom!
The blue void, dyed by the spreading light, abruptly exploded. The radiance and dispersing energy forced everyone nearby to retreat a step!
A figure remained where it had been, its entire body wrapped in blue energy. He was half-crouched on the ground, with residual spatial energy slowly rising from his body, making him look as though he were engulfed in blue flames!
His entrance was unbelievably dramatic!
Director Nick cast a sidelong glance at him, his expression solemn. He waved toward the side, and several armed guards immediately leveled their guns, disengaged the safeties, and cautiously approached the figure.
In the eerily quiet laboratory, the only sound was the energy rising from the figure's body like burning flames. As the guards slowly drew closer, their tactical boots stepped across the smooth floor, the sound as clear as though it were ringing right beside their ears.
