Her chakra seeped through her fingertips and into his chakra pathways. Carrying the Uzumaki Clan's distinctive warmth, it soothed every aching muscle in his body.

Uchiha Sanpo comfortably closed his eyes, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. He felt incredibly fortunate about his original choice. Uzumaki Huiyi truly was a treasure.

Seeing that he was nearly asleep, Uzumaki Huiyi knew he must have been exhausted. But when she thought of her clansmen, she knew she needed to do something.

The heat of the spring had tinted both their skin pink.

Uzumaki Huiyi slowly moved closer and bit through her lip. Blood slid from the corner of her mouth before she suddenly bent down and kissed him.

Uchiha Sanpo felt a trace of blood spread through his mouth. Along with it came a surging, special chakra. It was as gentle as a spring breeze, instantly dispelling some of his fatigue.

He abruptly pushed her away. "Huiyi, you... there's no need..."

Droplets fell from Uzumaki Huiyi's hair, sliding down her fair neck.

Uchiha Sanpo's gaze followed that droplet until it disappeared into the shadows beneath her collar.

He suddenly felt parched, and it was not entirely because of the hot spring.

"Sanfeng, my clansmen..."

Uzumaki Huiyi hesitated, and her hands stopped moving.

Uchiha Sanpo knew what she was worried about. "Don't worry. Since I promised you, I naturally won't break my word!"

Uzumaki Huiyi did not reply. She merely showed her resolve through her actions... her sash... quietly... slipped loose...

Uchiha Sanpo turned his head toward her and saw that her red eyes were filled with both anticipation and unease.

He gently patted her back and said, "Tomorrow, I'll take the God-Demon Battalion for some training. Then I'll bring them to Kusagakure, and you'll come with us! We'll bring your clansmen back to Konoha!"

At those words, Uzumaki Huiyi's eyes instantly lit up like stars suddenly illuminated in the night sky.
