Background / History

Sanpo began as a Konoha Uchiha shinobi pursued by Iwagakure forces in a forest. Rather than fight an unfavorable battle, he used a clone to create distance and activated his self-created God-Demon Transformation, demonstrating a preference for calculated retreat over Uchiha pride. 2 4

After encountering Uzumaki Huiyi, he captured her, used her healing chakra to recover, and disclosed his belief that Sarutobi Hiruzen was responsible for the suffering of both the Uzumaki and Senju lines. Their initially hostile encounter developed into an alliance centered on cultivation, protection, and revenge. 5 10

Sanpo used the God-Demon Transformation to recruit Uchiha shinobi, creating the God-Demon Battalion. More than 200 clansmen volunteered, while 35 elites were selected for specialized training; the battalion later rescued 15 Uzumaki clansmen from Kusagakure without suffering casualties. 23 26

He became increasingly influential within the Uchiha Clan.
