Don't Be Like This, I'm a Little Scared

After arriving at the Konoha outpost, Uzumaki Huiyi found everything here fresh and unfamiliar.

Uchiha Inabi and Uchiha Tekka were a little overly enthusiastic.

Uchiha Tekka in particular was quite the chatterbox, and some of the questions he asked always made things awkward.

"Sister-in-law, how did you meet Brother Sanpo? He's usually so cold and aloof. We all thought he'd spend his whole life with ninjutsu scrolls."

"We met in the Land of Grass."

"Sister-in-law, then how did you get together with Brother Sanpo?"

The question was rather awkward. She had only met Uchiha Sanpo after he knocked her unconscious and kidnapped her, so she did not want to answer it.

Seeing that Uchiha Sanpo had yet to return, she said, "Tekka, could you take me to Sanpo's room?"

"Sure thing, Sister-in-law. Follow me."

He readily agreed and led Uzumaki Huiyi forward.

Upon entering the room, Uzumaki Huiyi looked around.

The room was not large, only about sixteen square meters, but it was simply furnished. A single bed stood in the corner, with a wardrobe beside it, followed closely by a desk and chair.

Uzumaki Huiyi gently picked up the wooden basin and asked with a smile, "Tekka, I'd like to clean the room. Where can I get some water?"

Uchiha Tekka politely replied, "Sister-in-law, I'll take you there. Go left after leaving the room. There's a shared well in the middle, and we usually draw water there."

After saying that, he led Uzumaki Huiyi to the well.

The surrounding Uchiha Clan members were somewhat surprised to see Tekka bringing over an Uzumaki woman.

Ever since Sarutobi Hiruzen broke the alliance and caused the Land of Whirlpools to fall, they had rarely seen any Uzumaki Clan members.

A woman in her thirties smiled and said, "Tekka, so you like older girlfriends?"

Uchiha Tekka said awkwardly, "Aunt Mirina, stop joking around. She's Brother Sanpo's girlfriend, so don't bully her."

Another woman also laughed. "Haha, little Tekka, we just thought she was rather cute, so we chatted with her a little. How could we bear to bully her?"

Although Uzumaki Huiyi knew the people around her were teasing her, she did not sense any malice from them. This relaxed atmosphere instead made her feel unaccustomed to it. After filling the basin with water, she lowered her head and left.

Uchiha Tekka seemed to notice that something was off with her and hurried after her.

"Sister-in-law, don't be angry. They didn't mean any harm. They may always be laughing, but they're really just trying to find joy amid suffering. Take Aunt Mirina, for example—her husband and son have both died in battle."

Uzumaki Huiyi raised her head slightly, her eyes moved as she softly said, "I'm not angry. I'm just not used to this kind of atmosphere... Thank you, Tekka. You should go get busy. I can manage on my own."

Hearing that she was sending him away, and thinking she was merely embarrassed, Uchiha Tekka nodded. "Sister-in-law, if you need help, come find me again. If you can't find me, you can ask Aunt Mirina. She's very helpful too."

"Alright. If I need anything, I'll ask her for help."

Hearing that, Uchiha Tekka tactfully left the room.

After a while, the door was pushed open again, and Uchiha Sanpo entered carrying a bundle. Seeing the clean and tidy room, surprise flashed through his eyes. Then he casually shut the door and locked it.

Seeing him lock the door as soon as he entered, Uzumaki Huiyi, who had been sitting in the chair, instinctively stood up.

He advanced... she retreated. The sixteen-square-meter room had never been large to begin with, and soon she had nowhere left to retreat.

Uzumaki Huiyi kept leaning backward until she fell onto the bed. The soft sensation beneath her made her think of something, and she jolted upright. Then she quickly pulled out a kunai and thrust it forward.

Uchiha Sanpo caught her arm and looked down at her. "What are you trying to do?"

The moment she was caught, Uzumaki Huiyi's mind went blank. She did not dare meet his eyes.

Seeing her lower her head without speaking, Uchiha Sanpo released her arm and handed her the bundle.

"We just came back from the battlefield, and we both reek of sweat. There are clothes inside that should fit you. Later, I'll take you to the women's bath. After you're done washing, come back on your own. I'll bring lunch back for you."

After saying that, he opened the wardrobe beside him and took out a change of clothes for himself.

"Get up. Come wash up with me."

Uzumaki Huiyi mechanically stood up and followed behind him.

"I'm sorry. I was a little scared just now."

Uchiha Sanpo reopened the door and said, "I didn't take it to heart. But you're destined to be mine, so what is there to be afraid of?"

At those words, Uzumaki Huiyi's body trembled slightly. She did not know whether it was shyness or fear of the future—perhaps both.

After all, the frontline outpost was a military base, and many of its living facilities were not especially convenient. It took them more than a minute to reach the women's bathhouse.

On the wall ahead were the large words: Women's Bath.

Uchiha Sanpo said calmly, "I can only take you this far. Go in and wash up by yourself."

Uzumaki Huiyi nodded slightly. After murmuring an "Mm," she hugged the clothes and walked inside.

The men's bathhouse was over sixty meters from the women's bathhouse. After seeing her enter, Uchiha Sanpo headed toward the men's bath.

Because Aoyama Yui, the Iwagakure female jonin from last night, had left some intimate marks on his body, he thought of that woman again while washing them away. Then that thing actually hardened again.

But Aoyama Yui was far away and still his enemy, so he thought of Uzumaki Huiyi instead. The more he thought about her, the hotter Uchiha Sanpo felt.

After bathing, he went to the cafeteria to get some food and brought it back to his room.

After a while, Uzumaki Huiyi slowly walked in, wearing the clothes he had given her.

A white long-sleeved shirt paired with a pink dress made her look full of youthful vitality.

Uchiha Sanpo smiled and said, "Supplies at the outpost have been rather scarce lately. I only managed to get three dishes and a soup. Once we return to Konoha, I'll take you out for some good food."

Seeing the burning look in his eyes, she shyly walked to the table and gently sat down. "It's fine. This is already very good."

Uchiha Sanpo picked up his chopsticks and urged her, "Then start eating. The food will get cold soon."

It took the two of them more than twenty minutes to finish lunch.

Uzumaki Huiyi stood up and said, "I'll clean up the dishes."

Uchiha Sanpo grabbed her arm and said, "No rush. You can clean them up later."

"Megumi, don't scream. It's me!"

After saying that, he used the Body Flicker Technique to flash to the door and lock it.

Seeing him lock the door again, Uzumaki Huiyi's heart pounded like a drum. "Don't be like this. I'm a little scared!"

Uchiha Sanpo walked over, curled his index finger, and gently traced the bridge of her nose. "Some people, once they meet, become unforgettable at a single glance; some stirrings of the heart, once begun, can never be taken back."

After saying that, he spread his arms and forcibly pulled Uzumaki Huiyi into his embrace.

Uzumaki Huiyi's body trembled slightly, and her breathing became uneven. Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's buzz. "I'm willing to become your woman... Please give me some time... I'll slowly accept it..."
