"Is this the gladiatorial spirit you're so proud of?"

Shane did not try another angle. After looking "sullen" for several seconds, he went straight for Mongul's sore spot.

The Cosmic Tyrant, whose confidence had already swelled beyond measure, gave an appreciative exclamation. At last, he brought out his other hand and offered Shane an apology.

"Sorry. I simply didn't want to seriously injure a promising future fighter, but you're even better than I imagined. From now on, I'll give you the respect you want."

Shane gave a "soft snort," then mustered all his strength again and charged straight at Mongul.

This time, he darted to Mongul's side, intending to repeat the maneuver he had used in Earth's Olympian Realm to defeat Atlas, who had likewise dwarfed him.

But Shane failed.

Mongul's build was not as exaggerated as that of Atlas, a member of the Titan race. Relatively speaking, that meant he was not much slower than the smaller Shane.

Before Shane could land even a single punch, Mongul quickly crouched and sent him flying with a head-on Iron Mountain Lean.

Proportionally, though, the impact of Mongul's shoulder did not hurt Shane nearly as much as Atlas's Earthfall Punch had back then.

After flying backward several dozen meters, Shane canceled out the force and steadied himself half a meter above the ground.

But Mongul was already pursuing him with great strides. Almost the instant Shane stopped, he followed up with another heavy punch. His combat instincts reacted before conscious thought, and Shane crossed his arms the moment Mongul began winding up. Only when the gust struck his face did he realize he had made a terrible move.

This God-body wasn't much stronger than Shazam in his normal state. I should have dodged instead of blocking.
