For one thing, Luthor himself was unwilling to undergo any kind of correction.
For another, Shane strongly suspected that whatever influence had affected Luthor had probably changed him for the better.
That was how the world worked.
You couldn't have it both ways.
Superman had been corrupted, Batman had been corrupted, and Joker had died early.
There was no room left to corrupt Luthor too. Instead, it had even made him something of an unconventional exception.
Batman from the main universe had confirmed this assessment as well. Compared with the Luthor from the normal world, the Injustice world's Luthor had an additional emotional response: compassion.
That was why Luthor kept supporting the Resistance Army despite being part of the Superman Regime.
It hadn't completely undermined Luthor's true nature, since the whole maneuver could easily be explained as him hedging his bets and investing in both sides. Whoever won, he wouldn't lose.
Yet it also made this Luthor vastly different from the normal Luthor at crucial moments.
