It seemed Shazam did not need to worry about encountering the Superman of the Flashpoint World.

Provided he still had enough determination to step back into battle.

Shane slowly flew high into the sky, stopping only when he reached a relative altitude opposite the sickly-looking Black-suit Superman.

Superman's gaze lingered for a moment on the locator in Shane's left hand, clear longing flashing in his eyes.

Seeing that the opponent did not launch an attack immediately like the previous soldiers, Shane also attempted to converse with him to see if he could directly squeeze out useful intelligence.

"Actually, we don't have to fight to the death. If you're willing to provide me with more information, I still have another locator here."

The Superman, thin enough to reveal the outlines of his bones, looked at Shane and fell silent for a moment before simply shaking his head.

"I don't even trust the people of this world, let alone trust you from another world."

Shane frowned.

It was indeed reasonable for the Flashpoint World's Superman to be suspicious. After all, from the moment he arrived on Earth, this Superman had been imprisoned by the United States military, spending decades upon decades in sunless laboratories and prisons.

"Then how could you be willing to step into this doomed place of your own accord for their sake? If none of us had randomly entered this node, wouldn't you have died in vain, unable to resist?"

Superman did not answer the question immediately, merely glancing back at the setting sun hovering near the horizon at the edge of the sky.

When he turned his head back once more, his eyes were filled with a lingering attachment to freedom, alongside a trace of pity.

Then those complex emotions were covered by a flash of red light.
