Demonic Beasts Attack

Before him, at the foot of the mountain, he saw more than a dozen dark figures emerging from the forest. Several tall, dark figures were carrying a sedan chair, positioned in the center of the group.

Moonlight spilled down, revealing a crow, half a person's height, lying on the sedan chair. Su Ye could now see the other dark figures clearly.

There were Wolf Demons, Bear Demons, and Dog Demons. He tightened his grip on his Ghost Head Saber.

As the Demonic Beasts drew closer, stopping twenty to thirty paces from the town, the group paused. A gaunt Dog Demon spoke.

"Black Commander, my son came here last night and never returned. He must have met his end. Tonight, I will kill to my heart's content and avenge my son. Otherwise, my hatred will not be appeased."

Another obese Pig Demon, carrying the sedan chair, added resentfully, "My son is the same. This time, we must bring back more blood food."

The one called Black Commander was a crow. It rubbed the armrest of the sedan chair with its right claw, its beak opening to speak, "This time is different."

The Demonic Beasts walking along felt a surge of annoyance upon hearing this. Normally, when they acted, they were instructed not to make too much noise.

Although this strike did not kill the Black Commander, it crippled its ability to fly. It was not a loss. Su Ye quickly pursued, but heard a fierce whistling sound from behind him.

Mid-flight, he changed his grip on the Ghost Head Saber, striking the chest of an incoming Wolf Demon with the flat of the blade. The burly body mid-air exploded like a firecracker, with a series of popping sounds, flying far away, its whereabouts unknown for a long time.

"This brat is no simple foe. Everyone spread out and attack him together. We can definitely kill him."

The Black Commander, having lost a wing, retreated like a grounded chicken, shouting commands as it backed away. "I see this brat is only at Body Tempering Layer Seven. We can wear him down and kill him."

Su Ye's gaze swept over the horde of demons, his peripheral vision landing on the Black Commander. It kept shouting orders but was constantly retreating.

The Demonic Beasts, following orders, attacked in unison. Their attacks came from all directions, subtly sealing off all of Su Ye's evasion space.

Facing more than a dozen fierce incoming attacks, Su Ye's muscles bulged, as solid as refined iron. The friction between his palms and the saber hilt sparked a shower of sparks.

"Good, bring it on."

With his current physical strength, he could withstand more than a dozen attacks from these Demonic Beasts without issue.

Knowing this, Su Ye ignored the terrifying sounds coming from behind him. His Ghost Head Saber only swept horizontally. For a time, screams and curses filled the air.

With a few muffled thuds from his back, he felt a tremendous force surge through his body. His legs involuntarily stumbled forward a few steps.

Like a sharp arrow, it shot straight into the chest of a Tiger Demon a hundred meters away, which was fleeing in panic. The peerless force sent the Tiger Demon's body flying more than ten meters.

After slightly adjusting his physical state, Su Ye walked to the Tiger Demon's corpse in a few steps and pulled out the Ghost Head Saber. By this time, no Demonic Beasts remained standing in the area, but the Black Commander had disappeared without a trace.
