Lu Chen smiled faintly and naturally drew Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu, who stood beside him, into his arms.
Both girls let out soft cries at the same time. Feeling the heat radiating from Lu Chen, their bodies quivered slightly, and their cheeks flushed. Still, they couldn't help looking up at him, embarrassment lurking in their eyes.
Lu Chen ignored Dai Mubai and said coolly to the server, "We'll take this room!"
Dai Mubai's gaze turned icy, a trace of killing intent spreading through his eyes. He said coldly, "Are you challenging me?"
Lu Chen gave him a scornful smile. "What? Do you want to fight?"
He didn't believe that someone who frequented the Rose Hotel wouldn't know its rules. Dai Mubai was clearly looking for trouble. Did he really think Lu Chen was an easy target?
Afraid to cause trouble makes you a coward? Today, I'll show you what it means to have a path to heaven and refuse to take it, only to barge into the gates of hell!
Dai Mubai's sinister gaze swept over Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing, and a vicious smile tugged at his lips. "Very good. It's been a long time since anyone dared speak to me like that!"
The twin girls beside him heard this and looked at Lu Chen with a trace of pity. They sensibly let go of Dai Mubai's arm and quietly stepped aside.
A glint of evil flashed in Dai Mubai's eyes. He raised his right fist and lunged forward, aiming straight for Lu Chen's face.
Lu Chen smiled faintly, shielding Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing behind him as he gently raised the index and middle fingers of his right hand.
Buzz—
A streak of Blood-Colored Sword Light shot through the air and struck Dai Mubai squarely in the chest.
"Pfft!"
Blood sprayed as Dai Mubai flew backward like a kite with its strings cut.
The onlookers immediately gathered around to watch.
"White Tiger, possess me!"
Dai Mubai clambered awkwardly to his feet, and a tiger's roar sounded from within him!
A fierce, pale light erupted from his body. His golden hair turned black and white, and four faint markings appeared on his forehead.
His hands doubled in size, white fur covering his palms. Eight-inch claws gleamed with a chilling light.
Dai Mubai leaned forward, and all four of his pupils turned a deep blue.
Two yellow and one purple Soul Rings rose beneath his feet, spreading a Soul Master's pressure through the room.
Lu Chen's smile didn't waver as he instantly unleashed his Asura Domain.
Slaughter Aura gathered into a blood mist that enveloped Dai Mubai.
A Blood Demonic Tiger emerged from the mist, its crimson eyes fixed on Dai Mubai.
"W-what kind of Soul Skill is this?"
Dai Mubai trembled all over. Terror from the depths of his soul consumed him; his Martial Soul was actually afraid of the Blood Tiger before him.
The Blood Fiend Demonic Tiger advanced step by step. Dai Mubai's legs shook uncontrollably, and he nearly collapsed.
"Roar!"
The Blood Fiend Demonic Tiger roared, unleashing a massive wave of tangible Slaughter Aura that sent Dai Mubai crashing to the ground.
One enormous paw pressed down on Dai Mubai's chest. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't budge it!
A wisp of Slaughter Aura, so faint it was almost imperceptible, silently seeped between Dai Mubai's legs.
With Xiao Wu tucked under his left arm and Zhu Zhuqing under his right, Lu Chen stopped in front of Dai Mubai and asked coldly, "How does it feel now?"
After speaking, Lu Chen took the key the trembling server held out and led Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing up the stairs.
The Blood Fiend Demonic Tiger dissolved into wisps of Slaughter Aura. When the twins helped Dai Mubai to his feet, an indescribable foul odor spread from between his legs.
The twins instinctively frowned and stepped back, their disgust plain to see.
On the stairs, Lu Chen watched the scene with a hint of amusement in his eyes. Slaughter Aura had endless uses!
Laughter rose and fell around them, stabbing at Dai Mubai's ears like needles.
Dai Mubai shoved the twins away. His eyes filled with killing intent as he shot Lu Chen a glare, then staggered out of the Rose Hotel.
After he had gone some distance.
Tang San stopped the furious Dai Mubai. "It's normal that you couldn't beat him!"
Dai Mubai said coldly, "Who do you think you are? You think you can lecture me?"
Tang San replied calmly, "That was Lu Chen. His Martial Soul is the Blood Nether Sword, and he's a Four-Ring Soul Ancestor!"
"You know him?" Dai Mubai gritted out.
Tang San continued, "The two people with Lu Chen: one is Xiao Wu, whose Martial Soul is the Soft Bone Rabbit. She's a Three-Ring Soul Elder. The other is Zhu Zhuqing, whose Martial Soul is the Hell Spirit Cat. She's a Second Ring Great Soul Master!"
When Dai Mubai heard "Zhu Zhuqing" and "Hell Spirit Cat," his pupils contracted. He immediately grew agitated and grabbed Tang San's shoulders tightly.
"You said the other girl's surname is Zhu, and her Martial Soul is the Hell Spirit Cat?"
Tang San nodded. Looking at Dai Mubai's nearly crazed expression, he wondered to himself: Is this guy hard of hearing or something?
Ignoring his injuries, Dai Mubai punched the tree beside him. It cracked with a sharp snap.
His injuries worsened, and the viciousness in his eyes seemed almost tangible. "Lu Chen! The hatred of having my wife stolen! We can never coexist!"
Tang San's eyes lit up when he heard this. He'd originally meant to recruit Dai Mubai, but he hadn't expected there'd be gossip to enjoy, too.
The Rose Hotel.
Lu Chen led the two girls to the innermost room on the hotel's top floor. It was called the "Red Ocean."
A lifelike rose carved from dark red crystal adorned the large crimson door.
Beside the Red Crystal Rose was a line of vertical writing: "Red Ocean, Ocean of Love."
Lu Chen and Zhu Zhuqing exchanged a glance, both looking a little uncomfortable.
Only Xiao Wu seemed unaffected. She pushed the door open and walked right in.
The room was enormous. The living room alone covered more than fifty square meters. Every piece of furniture was silver, carved with exquisite patterns, while raised red rose designs covered the deep-red carpet.
What shocked Lu Chen and Zhu Zhuqing most was the huge Red Heart made from a mass of roses in the center of the living room.
A delicate ribbon hung above it, bearing the words: "One Thousand and One. You Are My Only."
Apart from those One Thousand and One Roses, elegant vases were placed around the room, each filled with fiery red roses.
Amid the rich Rose Fragrance was an unusual scent that stirred a sudden heat in Lu Chen!
Lu Chen circulated his Soul Power to suppress the heat and grumbled inwardly: They really went all out!
When he entered the bedroom, Lu Chen was stunned all over again.
There was only one bed in the bedroom, but it occupied almost half the room. Scarlet rose petals had been arranged into a giant heart across it.
Pale red gauze curtains hung from the ceiling, creating a dreamy, hazy intimacy.
Xiao Wu threw herself onto the bed, picked up a rose petal, and held it beneath her nose. "This room is so beautiful! Lu Chen, Zhuqing, should the three of us come here often from now on?"
Zhu Zhuqing's face flushed at her words. She glanced furtively at Lu Chen.
Lu Chen didn't dare look at the suggestive scene any longer. Turning to Zhu Zhuqing, he said, "Explain it to Xiao Wu. I'll get some air in the living room!"
Just as Lu Chen sat down on the living room sofa, Xiao Wu's embarrassed, indignant cry came from the bedroom.
A moment later, Xiao Wu came to him, her face bright red. Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's buzz. "Lu Chen, m-maybe we should switch hotels?"
Lu Chen's tone held a teasing lilt. "What? Didn't you say you wanted Zhuqing and me to come here with you often?"
"I... I didn't mean it like that."
The usually mischievous "Rogue Rabbit" was now like a bashful mimosa, her cheeks so red they looked ready to drip blood.
Seeing Xiao Wu's embarrassed expression, Lu Chen stopped teasing her and said calmly, "Tonight, you and Zhu Zhuqing can sleep in the bedroom. I'll make do on the sofa."
The next morning, Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing limped behind Lu Chen as they left the Rose Hotel. They'd hurt their knees while fooling around the night before.
Behind a tree, Dai Mubai watched Zhu Zhuqing's unnatural gait. His gaze grew colder, and his nails dug deep into his palms as drops of blood trickled between his fingers.
