Background
Jiang Yu protected Ye Xinxia when other children mocked her as a disabled orphan. Their childhood bond became one of dependence and trust; he later takes her home, listens to her school life, and protects her during an ambush. 2
At Tianlan High School, Jiang Yu developed rapidly through his S-rank Innate Dual Elements, Ice Affinity, and later Ice Spirit Core. His annual-assessment performance earned strong praise, admission to the elite class, and access to Stardust Demonic Artifacts. 3 4 5
He entered the Ghost Wolf Beast’s cave alone after judging that his perfected Ice Element and three Ice Spirit Cores were sufficient. He killed the beast unaided, forcing observers including Zhan Kong to recognize his strength. 7
Jiang Yu joined the City Hunter Squad to pursue greater opportunities and higher-tier talent blind boxes. He was accepted after displaying his Ice Spirit Core. 8
Appearance
Jiang Yu is described as a tall, exceptionally handsome young man with a well-proportioned build. At one point, he is stated to be 186 cm tall. 26
- Dark eyes and clear, handsome features. 76
- Usually carries an aloof, composed presence even in hostile settings. 76
- Wore a dark-gray casual suit, black high-necked woolen shirt, slim wool trousers, and black leather boots at Ningdu Imperial Palace. 76
Personality
Jiang Yu is calm under pressure and seldom reveals panic. He entered the Ghost Wolf Beast’s cave alone, remained composed when challenged by Xue Wuxin, and faced mass challengers with open confidence. 7 14 22
He is protective toward people he considers his own, particularly Ye Xinxia and Zhuo Jian. He also shows a ruthless side when facing betrayal or attempted murder, as seen when Bai Lin attempted to assassinate him after their academy battle. 2 24 113
His confidence can become provocative. He openly challenged the academy’s resource rules and taunted stronger opponents, using their hostility as an opportunity to test and copy their talents. 22 23
