"You're far too partial!"
Faced with Tai Yi's questioning and Yuan Chu's venomous fury,
Heavenly Dao gradually smiled.
"I wasn't being partial. Back then, Tai Yi took charge of Heaven River. If nothing unexpected happened, the cultivators would have fallen under your jurisdiction."
"Yuan Chu took charge of the Reincarnation Disk. The dead would no longer travel to the Soul Realm, but would instead be reborn in the Central Continent in whatever form the Reincarnation Disk decided, cycling endlessly."
"You should have been the one in control of the dead."
"I gave you both a path. You were the ones who betrayed it."
Heavenly Dao smiled calmly.
If everything had proceeded along its normal course, what glorious shape would the Central Continent have taken?

As he had said before, without his support in his capacity as Heavenly Dao, how could Tai Yi and Yuan Chu possibly have reached their current heights?
The calamity of ten thousand years lay first with him, and only afterward with these two ambitious fellows.
"Look at what you gave him. Look at what you created him to be."
Tai Yi and Yuan Chu spoke at the same time, their voices full of venom.
Heavenly Dao looked at them mockingly, then suddenly laughed.
"You're mistaken. I supplied the Heavenly Dao Bell, and I established the rules, but I wasn't the one who chose the person."
"It was this world that chose him. The heavens and earth chose him, so the Heavenly Dao Bell belongs to him, and everything of mine is steadily returning to him as well."
"So why don't you think about this?
