"Ding-dong. Since this is the host's first teleportation to a dimensional world, you may obtain a random Hero Ability. Would you like to proceed...?"

Ignoring the fluctuations in his emotions, the system continued issuing its prompts methodically.

"Of course, yes!"

At a time like this, no one would choose "no" just to satisfy their curiosity, right? A summoner without a Hero Ability might still have the support of legendary powers such as Keystone Runes and Summoner Spells, but they would still be pretty useless...

A chaotic storm swept through his mind as an enormous stream of information surged within him.

"Invisible Blade, most lethal."

"Art requires a certain degree of cruelty."

"What has been weakened is merely the 'blade,' not the 'will'!"

Fragments of various Hero Abilities drifted before Lianye's eyes before finally settling on the image of a legendary, solitary hunter. His single amber eye gleamed with a cold, murderous light.

"Tonight, we hunt!"

Pride Stalker, Rengar.

"Mm... Looks like my luck isn't bad..."

Compared to the three rookie heroes—"Might of Demacia, Garen," "Frost Archer, Ashe," and "Wandering Mage, Ryze"—the legendary hunter's abilities were obviously better suited for making a name for himself in this world where Titans roamed everywhere—even though the Wandering Mage possessed Arcane Arts powerful enough to sustain the natural balance of an entire world.

Once the draw was complete, it was time to master the Hero Ability. Like the superheroes in many comics who awakened superpowers or underwent mutations, what Lianye needed to do was stay calm and suppress his disbelief for later.

"Ding-dong. Would you like to equip the Pride Stalker's armaments?"

"Equip them for me. After all, I don't have any other weapons on hand."

A massive Hunting Shortsword appeared beneath his right hand, its pommel adorned with strange bone carvings. His left hand gripped a Dagger, small yet brimming with sharp intent.

Lianye had originally thought that the Pride Stalker's Hero Ability would be like Wolverine from X-Men, with indestructible claws extending from between his knuckles—but on second thought, although that would look more imposing, it would probably hurt a lot.

A sudden chill ran across his neck, and a necklace appeared before his chest.

Lianye pulled it out for a closer look. It was a strangely designed Bone Tooth Necklace, seemingly strung together from the fangs and claws of various prey. Though the bone and jade had been polished smooth and lustrous, it still radiated a murderous aura.

Feeling the hunting techniques inherited from Rengar, Lianye lightly swung the massive dagger in experiment.

The bizarre Hunting Shortsword and the Dagger in his left hand were merely the Pride Stalker's weapons and possessed no special attributes. The ancient Bone Tooth Necklace around his neck, however, possessed special equipment attributes just as described in the game, continuously strengthening the hunter who wore it.

The prerequisite was that Lianye had to keep hunting powerful prey and add glorious kill records to the Bone Tooth Necklace.

"Ding-dong. First Hunter Mission issued: Survive independently in the wilderness for 5 days.

Mission success: Reward of 100 Hero Points.

Mission failure: ...(The outcome is self-evident—become food for the Titans)."

If a legendary hunter could not even survive in the wilderness, could he still be called a "hunter"?

If he had appeared alone in this world, Lianye might have struggled with the task of "survival" for quite some time. But now that he had obtained the Pride Stalker's abilities, the matter seemed incredibly easy.

Perhaps because Titans rampaged throughout the wilderness, there were not many wild creatures outside the walls, but that did not mean they were exceedingly rare. Since Titans had no food other than humans, finding suitable prey as an energy source was still quite easy.
