Background / History

Gudako joined Chaldea at her brother’s urging, describing herself as someone brought in to make up the numbers despite her poor aptitude for magecraft 660. She and Lian Ye were assigned to share a room when accommodation space ran short. Their immediate rapport included joking about their shared difficulty fitting in and Gudako promising revenge for a prank in which Lian Ye had drawn on her face 604 605.

After Chaldea’s control room was struck by an explosion, Gudako worried about her brother, who was inside 607. She was subsequently transferred to the Fuyuki Singularity, where she became separated from the others before they found her 615 620.

Gudako has orange-yellow hair and wears a white Chaldea uniform 687 736 867.

Personality

Gudako is playful and provocative, frequently trading barbs with Lian Ye and teasing Olga Marie 605 624 634. She likes dramatic exchanges during fights: when Atalanta refused to banter, Gudako complained that she had no opportunity to deliver the comeback she had prepared 695.

She is candid about avoiding work, admitting to Olga Marie that she was slacking off during a battle 802. Her irreverence does not prevent her from acting when others are in danger: she was unwilling to watch Olga Marie die and fought Dragons after seeing them feed on human corpses 637 687.

• Fujimaru Rikka — Her brother; she initially speaks casually about leaving him with the other candidates but worries when the control room is attacked 604 607.
• Mashu Kyrielight — Chaldean companion who interprets Gudako’s verbal sparring with Lian Ye as a sign that they get along 660.
