The entire battle, from start to finish, took no more than seven or eight seconds. By the end, the victor had been decided.

Fighting with cold weapons had always been dangerous and brutal. It wasn't like hand-to-hand combat, where even with a face battered black and blue, you could still fight several more rounds.

In this kind of battle, life and death were decided in an instant.

After his abdomen was cut open, the man in black couldn't die right away. He dropped to his knees, his sword already discarded on the ground. His hands trembled as he frantically tried to stuff his intestines back inside, his face full of fear and despair.

"Got anything else to brag about?" Chen Shouyi walked over and kicked the sword beside him away, in case the man tried to strike back with his dying breath.

The man in black raised his head. His mouth, full of bloody froth, opened as if he wanted to say something, but a mouthful of blood suddenly gushed out.

"Shouyi, what are you doing? Do you need help?" Mother Chen asked anxiously.

He had been so focused during the fight that Chen Shouyi hadn't noticed his parents and younger sister getting out of the car at some point.

His expression grew awkward. "Uh, it's pretty gruesome here. Don't come over. I'll be right back."

He quickly stopped showing off. The Long Sword flashed in his hand as he swiftly slashed the man's throat.

Blood spurted from the carotid artery, like a breeze sweeping through a bamboo grove.

Then he looked at the arrows embedded in the car.

His fingerprints remained on them, and they could very well expose his identity.

To be on the safe side, Chen Shouyi thought he should retrieve them.

He glanced at his clothes.
