The elderly General Gordon was visibly taken aback when he heard that description.
He tried to determine whether Chester was joking.
"Colonel Phillips, are you... conscious?" There was profound doubt in his eyes, and his tone was less than pleasant. "Demons? Are you sure you mean demons? Demons from the Bible?"

Chester shook his head and said, "There are creatures in the Warp where Zero Matter is located. Though they are called 'demons,' I would rather call them... natives!"

That term made all the generals present smile knowingly.
"That's right, natives." Chester continued his seductive speech. "Just as we once conquered the American continent and let God's bloodline and glory shine upon it, God granted us splendor in return! I believe that, under God's blessing, the Warp is the Promised Land of the great Anglo-Saxons. We will conquer it!"
