Alvin remotely cut the data link to the control puppet and destroyed all evidence.
Without leaving a single clue, and certain his identity wouldn't be exposed, he drove away from the abandoned farm.
Sitting in the driver's seat, Alvin pondered in his mind what he should do next.
But midway through his drive, he suddenly felt dizzy, as if he had a severe hangover from staying up all night and then ran a marathon, completely drained.
Alvin decisively slammed on the brakes, the tires screeching violently against the road, a brief and piercing noise cutting through the surroundings.
Soon, the inexplicable dizziness and fatigue subsided.
But in its place, his entire body felt severely dehydrated, as if his stamina had been completely wrung out.
Alvin was drenched in sweat, as if he had just been pulled out of a lake, his usually bright eyes filled with deep exhaustion.
He tried to use his "Psychic" power, but nothing happened.
It had been almost exactly 24 hours since he injected the temporary Compound V yesterday afternoon and awakened his "Psychic" abilities.
It felt like a beautiful dream, but now the dream was over.
"No, that's not right, the Psychic power is still here."
Suddenly, Alvin frowned. He could still clearly sense a power hidden deep within his soul.
Unlike after injecting the "temporary Compound V," when he wanted to mobilize this power, it had become extremely difficult, like trying to move a hundred-meter mountain with human strength, almost impossible.
"As expected, this body originally possessed 'Psychic' power. The temporary Compound V acted as a fulcrum, infinitely amplifying my own mental strength, allowing me to wield Psychic power."
Alvin quickly understood the key point and showed a relieved smile. "If I say that after injecting Compound V, I became an A-class Psychic who could use Psychic power at will, then the Psychic power of this original body was probably Omicron-class?"
In the Empire's twenty-four-level system, only A-class and above were considered true Psychics, while Omicron-class was considered to have a little Psychic power, but not much.
Except for a small number of people who would unconsciously unleash Psychic power when facing mortal danger, they were almost unable to consciously control this power throughout their lives.
He figured that was probably why the previous owner survived the attack from the "Cult Psychic."
"Fortunately, I know not to put all my eggs in one basket."
Alvin gently massaged his temples, his eyes once again filled with determination. "It's okay, even if it's Omicron-class, so what? Once I inject the permanent compound, I'll be a true A-class Psychic, and then I'll have the power to protect myself even in the Underhive!"
He knew very well that Psychic power was a double-edged sword. The more one indulged in this power, the deeper they would fall into the abyss of the Warp!
But in the Warhammer universe, danger was everywhere, and the Underhive was surrounded by cults. Even knowing the path ahead was a fiery pit, he had no choice but to jump in.
At least, even delaying death for a second would be worth it to him!
Gripping the steering wheel and looking straight ahead, Alvin stepped on the accelerator, his delicate face filled with resolve. "Even if the road ahead is full of thorns, I will carve out a path. I don't want to die, and I certainly don't want to die in the Underhive like trash, unnoticed, until I rot and stink!"
"I want to live!!!"
On the deserted highway, Alvin's roar echoed through the long, dark night.
His pent-up emotions were released at this moment, and he laughed heartily, driving into the depths of the night.
The next day, Butcher, who was hiding in a secret base, received a call from Alvin.
And Alvin, on the other end of the line, said something that nearly scared Butcher to death!
"Butcher, do you want to kill Homelander?"
Butcher's pupils contracted sharply. He struggled to control his face, contorted by shock, and lowered his voice. "Are you crazy? Do you know what you're doing? That's Homelander!"
"I know very well what I want to do. It's you who doesn't know what you want, Butcher."
Alvin's voice on the phone was flippant and relaxed, as if he hadn't just said he wanted to kill Homelander.
Glancing at his companions in the base, Butcher quietly moved to a secluded spot, covered the phone's receiver, and growled, "What exactly do you mean, Alvin!"
"Don't you think there are too many superhumans in this world?"
Alvin's casual words struck Butcher's heart like a heavy hammer, causing it to briefly stop beating before pumping faster.
"Butcher, have you ever thought about what this world would be like without superhumans?"
"Gods should exist in stories, not in the real world. Especially when a madman becomes a god in the eyes of the public, it will only lead this country to ruin, won't it?"
Blood instantly rushed to Butcher's forehead, violently assaulting his reason and thoughts. He gritted his teeth and said, "Is that your true intention, to kill all superhumans? Alvin, you're a lunatic!"
"If a madman holds the button to destroy the world, would you place your hope in that madman's kindness?"
Alvin's unhurried tone was like the devil Mephistopheles tempting Faust, stirring the demon deep within Butcher's heart. "Now, who do you think is the madman?"
"Don't forget, your wife was raped by Homelander, and you were powerless."
"You've collaborated with the CIA, secretly resolving many matters. Precisely because of that, you know better than anyone what the true nature of those superhumans is."
This sentence placed another heavy weight on Butcher's already tipping scale.
His eyes were bloodshot, his face contorted with rage, like a beast that had lost its mind, letting out heavy, bull-like breaths.
"Butcher, this world is sick."
Alvin's low, hoarse voice seemed to contain pity and compassion, as if he were truly mourning for the entire world. "And those who possess superpowers are the root of this world's illness. We must remove the root of the illness to restore the world to normal."
On the phone, only heavy breathing remained.
After a long pause, Butcher seemed to undergo a difficult internal struggle. Finally, guided by his true feelings, he leaned towards one side of the scale: "What are you going to do?"
"The day after tomorrow, I'll make Homelander appear somewhere alone."
Alvin didn't reveal the entire plan, deliberately hiding a part of it: "I'll give you three doses of temporary Compound V. When you see the signal, we'll hunt Homelander together."
"Are you sure he'll be alone?"
Butcher frowned, some doubt creeping in: "What if some other Titan shows up then?"
"Don't worry, no other Titan will appear."
Alvin reassured him: "I guarantee that day, only Homelander will be there. And I have a drug that can temporarily strip him of his superpowers."
"Okay, I'll trust you this time!"
Butcher seemed to have descended into madness, his eyes filled with murderous intent: "Even if we can't kill Homelander, at least we can cripple him!"
He hung up the phone.
Alvin toyed with the temporary Compound V, a slight smirk playing on his lips: "Excellent, all the conditions are now met. All that's left is the final moment."
From the very beginning, Butcher had fallen into his trap.
Because, fundamentally, the plan to exterminate Supes was Butcher's truest desire, and it was what he would eventually act upon.
Alvin had merely used Butcher's rage to accelerate the timeline a little, unleashing that demon.
Azu, are you ready?
Next up is the "Fan Meeting."
Of course, the fans might be a bit "enthusiastic," but Alvin was sure Azu would love this gift he had meticulously prepared for him!
I'm Trump, all you need to do is V me a monthly ticket, and I'll have Ivanka date you and be your Vice President!
