Alvin's psychic senses caught a faint, unusual, deeply uncanny fluctuation amid the chaos of the battlefield.

He narrowed his eyes and scanned the tumultuous front.

Then he noticed a flash of green light, vanishing almost instantly from a crack in an energy conduit buried beneath the rubble.

As he expanded the range of his psychic perception, it was as though he had gained a sense beyond the usual five, invisible tendrils spreading out in an instant to cover the blood-soaked battlefield.

He "heard" the frenzied, murderous psychic roars of the Khorne Berserkers as they charged; "saw" the Iron Warriors hiding behind cover, waiting to launch a surprise attack; and "sensed" the Bloodletters circling overhead, their minds filled with pure bloodlust.

Then he caught a vast, savage consciousness, burning hot as lava—the Daemon Prince, Seragrim!

It brooded deep within that "Great Tower," an immense weight of greedy, frigid awareness that seemed to call to him, to tempt his soul.

His perception delved deeper, beneath this blasphemous, polluted ground.

Through the tangled network of conduit systems, twisting like a nest beneath the filthy earth, he finally found his "target."

The cunning, devious Greenskin Orcs were actually hiding down in the Hive City, inside its filthy, reeking underground circulation and conduit system!

Even Alvin couldn't help being shocked.

How had these Orks slipped past Chaos surveillance and secretly infiltrated the Hive City's underground conduits?

It was simply unbelievable!

After all, the Chaos Legion had not only installed a large-scale Energy Shield system in the Hive City, but also employed terrifying Chaos Sorcery to keep the city's space in a state of flux, preventing direct teleportation.
