The Chaos Legion's casualties were enormous.
The Orks' casualties were even worse. Because of the nature of the high-explosive shells, the Orks blown apart didn't even have a chance to release their spores. They had been wiped out completely.
After several rounds of bombardment, Bonegrinder was numb.
His clan, his tribe, his Mekboy—all of them had been blown apart by the artillery!
Bonegrinder was utterly bewildered. Weren't they and the Imperium allies? Why were they shelling their allies too?
"Stop! Stop!"
Bonegrinder frantically tried to tell Alvin not to bombard his position.
What came instead was an even more violent bombardment. The Thunderhawk Gunship in the sky had even singled him out and begun chasing him!
That was when Bonegrinder understood.
Alvin had done it on purpose!!!
"Alvin—!!!"
Suddenly, an enraged roar rang out through the thick smoke of the bombardment.
A huge green figure smashed through the smoke screen and landed in Alvin's line of sight. "Damn liar—you dared deceive me!!!"
"?" Alvin raised an eyebrow and looked at him with an ambiguous smile. "Isn't this the great Bonegrinder? How did you become such a miserable sight after only a short while apart? Are you all right?"
Bonegrinder looked wretched. His "magnificent and stylish" armor had been shattered, and the two huge fangs hanging around his neck had also been broken by the shells.
His remaining eye was filled with deep hatred.
Dazed and dizzy from the bombardment, Bonegrinder glared viciously at him. "You... broke... our... pact!"
"Our pact?" Alvin deliberately froze for several seconds, then looked at him in confusion. "What pact? What are you talking about?"
That question left the furious Bonegrinder rooted to the spot. His already none-too-bright mind nearly crashed from the sheer shamelessness of the question.
"Oh, right, I remember. You mean that." Alvin
