He slept for a long time.
In his dream, he returned to the grasslands of his childhood dreams. He gazed at the towering Snow Mountain, said to have existed for ages, its peak piercing the clouds, and saw his dead brothers again.
They gathered around a bonfire, laughing and chatting.
They seemed to be talking about something. Then he spotted the Legion Commander in the crowd. The man waved to him, his lips moving as if he were saying something.
But, unfortunately, he was too far away.
If only I could get closer. He stepped into the deep snow and began climbing the mountain, hoping to join them.
But after only a couple of steps, he felt a force tugging at him from behind. It irritated him, and he couldn't help turning around.
There, amid the hazy clouds, a cold sun seemed to be watching him silently.
The dream ended.
His senses slowly returned to him, and fragments of his memories from when he'd lost control gradually surfaced.
Had he lost control again?!
At the thought, he scrambled up from the ground. Panic mingled with helplessness. The last time he'd lost control, the humans under their protection had suffered terrible destruction. So what about this time?
Fortunately, the damage around him seemed far less severe than before, and no one had died at his hands.
"You seem to care about them," Alvin said from nearby.
He whipped around to look toward the voice.
Alvin was holding a young child in his arms, while several other children crowded around him, clamoring for the Energy Gel he had on him.
Seeing the scene, he felt the tension in his chest ease. The hostility brewing in his eyes faded as well, replaced by a hint of warmth, especially when he looked at the
