Kokichi Muta held two ice creams as he jogged over to the Ferris wheel queue.
"Over here!"
Kasumi Miwa waved at Kokichi Muta, her light blue hair shimmering brilliantly beneath the neon lights in the gentle breeze.
Kokichi Muta stared, slightly dazed, and only came back to himself when Kasumi Miwa walked up and flicked his forehead.
"What are you spacing out for?"
Blushing, Kokichi Muta handed her an ice cream and scratched his head, about to explain.
"Hurry, hurry, it's our turn!"
Kasumi Miwa grabbed Kokichi Muta's hand and slipped into the Ferris wheel cabin.
They ate their ice creams while admiring the dazzling cityscape outside the window.
But before long, they both sensed that something about the atmosphere was off.
Kokichi Muta stammered, "By the way... what made you want to come to an amusement park?"
Kasumi Miwa smiled. "New Year's is such a big occasion. You have to try something you've never tried before."
"But... isn't this the kind of place only couples come to...?"
