Tang looked out the window at the lightless fungus fields that had once belonged to the Kling Family. Countless slaves were still working from dawn to dusk, tending fungi and gathering food in preparation for the sacrifice twenty-six days later.

"On my way to Lightless City, I saw an Intellect Devourer leading some serfs in an escape. I suppose their brains have been eaten by now?"

"You seem to know a great deal about us." The Mind Flayer did not deny it.
