"How much Gold Coins can you offer?"

When Amber Xiu asked this, not only Naomi was stunned, but even the Hag didn't expect things to go so smoothly. She was taken aback for a long time before reacting.

The Hag said excitedly, "You want money? Alright, I can give you five thousand Gold Coins!"

Naomi's heart tightened. Would this Lich violate the contract for five thousand Gold Coins?

A dark red light formed a giant cage, trapping Naomi within. The little Druid found she couldn't even move a finger.

Immobilization Spell, this was a relatively high-level spell, with special effects on humanoid creatures. Until the spell's effect ended, Naomi would remain in this helpless state.

After doing all this, Amber Xiu turned his gaze back to the Hag and said, "Money first, then the person. Oh, and I'm taking the Sylvanus Statue with me."

The Hag let out a cackling laugh. Mutated rats emerged from the darkness, carrying a small money pouch on their backs. It was clear this was another Space Pocket.

Amber Xiu carefully controlled Mage Hand to grab the money pouch. He repeatedly checked it for Magic Traps before he felt at ease and opened the bag to inspect its contents.

Soon, Amber Xiu frowned and said, "Why is it only eighteen thousand-plus Gold Coins?"

The Hag said angrily, "This Space Pocket of mine is worth at least three to four thousand Gold Coins. How dare you quibble with me over these two thousand Gold Coins?!"

Amber Xiu, however, said, "Fine, I'll take a loss and give you a discount."

The Hag was almost infuriated to death by Amber Xiu. This Lich was truly shameless for money! If she could defeat him, she would definitely tear him apart and make a toilet out of him.

The transaction between the Hag and Amber Xiu was clearly seen by the Druids in the illusion. The dark-skinned Druid, Van Jones, saw Naomi immobilized by Amber Xiu's spell and clenched his fists so hard they creaked.

Unfortunately, Van Jones was powerless. He could only hope in his heart, "Undead are indeed despicable and shameless evil beings! Sylvanus above, please save your followers!"

However, the Deity seemed to have not noticed the prayers of a few small Druids. Amber Xiu and the Hag were still standing there, completely unharmed by divine punishment.

But after Amber Xiu pocketed the money pouch, he didn't rush to hand over Naomi. Instead, he slowly asked, "Alchemy City has been quite lively recently. Paladins from the Lyne Empire running around in these sewers, Druids running around in the sewers, even a Hag like you running around in the sewers... What are you all here for? What's so good about this broken place?"

The Hag replied casually, "Don't you know? With your power, you're considered a big shot among the Undead. Haven't you heard of that prophecy? The sewers of Alchemy City contain the secrets of a Deity. As long as you find it, you can ascend to godhood."

"Ha?"

Amber Xiu acted as if he had heard the biggest joke. Ascend to godhood in this broken place?

Hearing the disdain in Amber Xiu's tone, the Hag became a little annoyed and said, "Do you think it's fake?"

Amber Xiu didn't answer. Instead, he changed the subject and asked, "Then have you found any clues about ascending to godhood?"

The Hag sneered, "Even if I had, would I tell you? Even if I told you, would you believe me?"

Amber Xiu nodded and said, "Makes sense. Then it seems there's nothing more to ask."

Hearing Amber Xiu's words, the Hag suddenly felt something was wrong. A strong sense of crisis made her body stiffen.

However, this teleportation shocked the Hag again, because this time she flickered in place, moving less than a meter.

Amber Xiu floated quietly in front of the Hag, and then watched the Hag teleport frantically as if she were having a seizure, but the result of each teleportation was the same.

The Hag said in shock, "A spell that replaces the result... You, you're a Mage from the School of Prophecy?!"

Amber Xiu said approvingly, "It's rare. Someone still remembers the School of Prophecy these days. I thought it had been swallowed by the river of time."

The hag knew she was in big trouble. Her teleportation spell had failed, and she couldn't escape. Her only option now was to fight with all her might.

Just as the hag was preparing to cast an offensive spell on Amber Xiu, the magical light from his staff landed on her.

The next second, she seemed to have been provoked, and began to laugh uncontrollably.

Her laughter was utterly hideous, but the hag couldn't stop.

Within seconds, the hag was bent over with laughter, coughing, her lungs and throat almost bleeding, and finally, she couldn't even stand steadily, only able to roll on the filthy ground.

Tasha's Hideous Laughter, a very common control spell, causes the target to fall into uncontrollable fits of laughter upon being hit, rendering them unable to do anything but laugh.

And after Amber Xiu cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on the hag, the Immobilization Spell on Naomi also dissipated.

Amber Xiu said to a bewildered Naomi, "Alright, the hag is under my control now. Your tribesmen should be safe too."

Naomi stared blankly at Amber Xiu, no longer able to distinguish between what was real and what was fake.

"What are you spacing out for? Did you really think I would break my promise?" Amber Xiu explained.

"But you took her Gold Coins, and I haven't paid yet..." Naomi said softly.

Amber Xiu said smugly, "Hahaha, you think I wouldn't get these Gold Coins if she didn't pay? Naive little girl, if I defeat this hag, the Gold Coins are mine anyway. I was just trying to get some information out of her, to learn the secrets of this sewer."

Naomi felt her worldview had been severely impacted in such a short time. This world was truly terrifying. She wanted to go back to her tribe.
