"This is magic."
"What's going on with you people?"
Luan Zhengwei, who had been chatting happily with the indigenous tribal chiefs, noticed the commotion too. The strong smell of floral-scented mosquito repellent hit his nostrils. It was hard not to notice.
He saw Black men sprawled all over the ground. Some had already sat up, rubbing their eyes in bewilderment. Others stood unsteadily, dazedly turning in circles where they were. A few knelt down to shake the others awake. More and more people were coming around, making for a rather eerie scene.
Li Bai, who had put on a mask at some point, and Li Feng, whose expression was somewhat complicated, stood nearby. They didn't look like spectators enjoying the show, either.
"These people stink too much."
Li Bai pointed at the fellows on the ground.
Being uncultured was one thing, being Black was another, but they had to stink on top of it. Uncultured, Black, and stinking—could they even be called human?
Knocking them all down with a snap of his fingers had already been quite polite. Otherwise, he could have simply cut them down with his sword and spared himself the sight.
Li Feng, who had taken Li Bai's mosquito repellent and sprayed himself with it, said nothing.
To be honest, he'd nearly been sick from the stench, too.
That awful smell hit you right in the face. It was enough to give you nightmares.
The smell coming off these uncultured Black men was even more overwhelming than the curry smell coming off the Indians.
Only these Black men seemed not to notice it, instinctively choosing to ignore it. If they had to trade places with Li Bai and Li Feng, they probably wouldn't be able to stand it themselves.
"Xiao Lin, go find out what's going on!"
