The Japanese had once obtained a large amount of human experimentation data. After World War II ended, they handed it all over to the Americans.
Having tasted the benefits, the Americans probably wouldn't give up on pulling a few dirty tricks. They'd spent years fighting wars here and there, attacking one country today and another tomorrow, creating countless refugees. Finding a few unlucky children to use in secret human experiments wouldn't be difficult.
For the Americans, whose Black Technology was emerging one innovation after another, creating a cyborg didn't seem all that strange. One could only say the Americans were incredibly bold—and even more willing to pour money into research.
Luan ** wasn't making an unreasonable guess. Seeing Li Feng's astonished reaction, he continued, "They even have exoskeleton power armor. Modifying human bodies directly isn't much of a stretch."
"Those four monsters probably didn't evolve naturally either, did they?"
Li Feng quickly made another connection.
If there had been only one monster, it might have been a naturally occurring creature with a genetic mutation. That wasn't impossible.
But four identical creatures appearing at the same time clearly meant they'd become a population. It was hard to imagine when such terrifying creatures had suddenly appeared on the African Continent.
For such a terrifying apex predator to arise in the natural environment, several conditions would have to be met. First came the climate and geography. Were its bulletproof scales really only meant to protect it from human weapons?
Second came food resources. Without enough food, a predator of such enormous size couldn't exist. The natural resources of the African Continent couldn't sustain a population like this—unless the creatures preyed on humans.
Could nature have spontaneously mutated to produce "white blood cells" specialized in wiping out humanity, that "tumor"?
But this theory
