Chapter 1744 - Sandstorm
As soon as the wind and sand stopped, everyone immediately sensed something was wrong.
"The wind stopped?"
The Saint of "Strength" looked around in surprise. Not a single gust blew into the vehicle anymore, and not a grain of sand got inside. Even the air suddenly felt fresh, without the bitter taste of blowing yellow sand.
Yet the all-terrain off-road vehicle continued forward. Strangely, no headwind rushed at them, and not even their hair was ruffled. It was as if the air currents somehow silently flowed around the vehicle. Aside from the engine's rumble, an odd quiet had settled over their surroundings.
"No. The wind in the distance hasn't stopped. Someone's activated a supernatural authority. It seems to be wind, or perhaps earth."
Enmenam, seated in the passenger seat, was observant. He pointed into the distance. Within a hundred meters, visibility was clear, without a trace of blowing sand. Beyond that, however, the sky was filled with swirling sand, murky and chaotic. They could barely make out another two or three hundred meters beyond that—a stark contrast to clear weather, when they could see ten kilometers away.
This strange spectacle even kept pace with the convoy, firmly shielding all six all-terrain off-road vehicles within its bounds.
In the desert's harsh weather, venturing here without a properly functioning means of transport, enough supplies, and reliable positioning and navigation was tantamount to courting death.
Enmenam also curiously turned around to examine Vehicle 6, which had joined the convoy after cutting in along the way. The two young women had given him an unexpected surprise.
This would make the journey much easier. They wouldn't have to endure a face full of sand the whole way.
