The Saint's Association didn't need to worry about long-range enemy fire. To concentrate their limited manpower and firearms, they'd set up a blockade position of only a certain size. Making it larger wouldn't help; it would be harder to defend and leave countless gaps in the line, forcing the defenders to run themselves ragged.
A small position had its advantages, but it had its drawbacks too. If the former "Toxic" Saint, Jaharlal Choudhury, now a Mutated Zombie, kept releasing his deadly black mist, it wouldn't be long before everyone was trapped with nowhere to escape. The mist could turn the Sacred Domain, sustained by the combined efforts of thirteen Saints, into a death zone strewn with dried corpses.
But the moment they left the protection of the Sacred Domain's luminous barrier, the zombie horde outside would overwhelm them. And that wasn't even counting the Armored Nightmare lurking beyond, ready to devour anyone it could get its claws on.

Wonderful Dharma Child, from the Great Freedom Temple on Longhu Mountain, stood beside Diana and formed a hand seal. A talisman shot out, turning into a net of flames that blocked the strange black mist slowly drifting toward them.
