By now, the Mutated Zombies that had infiltrated the "Sacred Domain" had all been wiped out. The zombies outside and the "Armored Nightmare" still couldn't break through the pale golden barrier, so they posed no immediate threat. The chaos was visibly settling down.
The number of Saint Warriors, however, kept dwindling, while no more appeared outside the Sacred Domain.
The thirteen Saints had already expended a great deal of energy. Just maintaining the "Sacred Domain" and the "Prison Cage" was a considerable challenge.
"Gendaya was the First Civilization, and Mesopotamia was the Second. We're in the Sixth Civilization now. Before us came Muria, Atlantis, and Tonatiuh. I never expected there to be more than one Prehistoric Remnant who had awakened."
Sophia Green, the Saint of "Word Spirit," explained it to Li Bai.
The First Civilization had perished, and Mesopotamia, as the Second Civilization, had naturally been the one to personally bring about its end. When one dies, another rises; such was the cycle of Heaven's will.
"Gendaya and Mesopotamia were both prehistoric civilizations. And they still have Divine Descendants?"
Diana couldn't hide her shock at suddenly learning such a secret. This was a truly earth-shattering revelation. Compared to it, the intelligence Li Bai had brought back before was nothing.
"Moller" sneered. "Heh. After interbreeding with these mortals, each generation of Divine Descendants grew weaker. Their bloodline lost its purity, and the long-lived became short-lived. This world has been overrun by fools. This planet has lost its value and must be cultivated anew."
His words held a wealth of information. Even the phrase "cultivated anew" concealed a terrible horror.
