Structure and Practices
Branches
- Yulin branch — Jiang Shuo and Li Zicheng first seek entry here during Yushan's famine. It is led by Feng En after Gu Ming's fall 7 57.
- Capital branch — A larger, politically connected branch containing senior figures such as Ji Wangu, Fifth Yu, Yan Fu, Gu Han, and He Feng 80 102 196.
- The sect is described as vast, with complex membership, segregated guest quarters, restricted areas, training grounds, and facilities for long-term patients 17 89 92 129.
Martial Arts
Unlike sects centered on a single inherited art, the Hundred Flowers Sect collects and teaches a broad range of outside techniques.
- It possesses manuals for unarmed combat, swordsmanship, spears, halberds, axes, hooks, forks, and other weapons 17.
- Internal cultivation methods are comparatively scarce because of their sensitivity 17.
- Martial-world experts seeking refuge may receive a Hundred Flowers Order, granting rights equal to those of sect disciples; in return, some contribute their techniques 17.
- Its entry requirements are lenient, while advancement depends on experience and accumulated qualifications 113.
Medicine
The sect publicly presents itself as an institution dedicated to healing.
- It employs elite healers and maintains abundant medical resources 89.
- Patients with difficult conditions may stay for months or even years in dedicated courtyards 89.
- Its physicians treat both commoners and martial artists, and its disciples mobilize to receive large groups of wounded people during emergencies 111.
- The sect's stated mission is to “save lives and heal the injured,” though its members do not always uphold that ideal 102.

Background and History
The Yulin branch accepts Jiang Shuo and Li Zicheng as temporary assistants after Elder Bian recognizes their aptitude and Yushan's urgent need for medical workers during a famine. Formal admission is not initially granted, but the arrangement offers them a path to become disciples 7.
The sect's influence rests on both medicine and martial arts. It is willing to shelter martial artists from other sects, gathering their techniques through favors, refuge, and the issuance of Hundred Flowers Orders. This policy gives it a varied martial arts collection rather than a single defining cultivation method 17.
In Yulin, the sect clashes with the Mad Saber Sect after Jiang Shuo and Sun Daoming infiltrate its Forbidden Ground. Feng En ultimately kills Taishu Sheng, arrests the defeated sect's disciples, and takes control of its territory. Following Gu Ming's fall, Feng En stabilizes the Yulin branch and becomes its new Sect Master 36 57.
The Capital branch possesses deeper connections to the Imperial Court. The sect was originally established with court funding, and a marriage between Ji Huaying and the son of the Right Censor-in-Chief is arranged to strengthen political ties 94.
Behind its healing-focused reputation, the sect conceals a history of exploiting human bones. Ji Wangu deceives Gu Han into teaching bone-touching methods to ordinary disciples under the pretense of healing. Gu Han and Feng En later discover that the sect is harming civilians and stealing bones, but Gu Han refuses to testify when Feng En reports the matter, allowing the organization to avoid punishment 197 200.
By the time Jiang Shuo learns the truth, the sect is implicated in multiple assassination attempts against him. Its Bone Replacement Users operate alongside the Iron Cloud Gang, and Dream Red Pavilion attacks the sect after discovering that it took the bones of Meng Furen's husband 198 199 214.
Major Arcs

- Mad Saber Sect incident — Feng En authorizes Jiang Shuo's covert infiltration of the Mad Saber Sect. The operation escalates into open conflict, ending with Taishu Sheng's death and the Mad Saber Sect's collapse 23 36 57.
- Gu Ming's exposure — Jiang Shuo and Sun Daoming enter the Yulin sect's Forbidden Ground and discover that Gu Ming is the Man in Black 50 51.
