Sukuna's gaze swept over Uraume, then across Mahito's twisted grin, and finally landed on Jogo's face—that face etched with bitter defeat—before slowly spreading into a relaxed smile.
"Isn't this great?" Sukuna's voice carried a strange sense of satisfaction. "Isn't this the day I've been waiting for? Waiting to get cut down by someone stronger!"
His scarlet eyes gleamed, as if recalling that earth-shattering slash. "That guy named Nero... he's incredible! So damn interesting!"
Uraume bit down hard on his lower lip, still unable to speak.
"Yeah," Jogo finally opened his mouth, his voice calm but laced with bitterness. "That bastard... strong... not fit for this world at all."
"Hahahaha!" Sukuna burst into loud laughter, echoing through the pale void with unbridled delight. He looked at Jogo with mockery.
"You bastard! Now you get it? All your scheming and plotting—in the face of absolute power like that, it's not even worth a damn!"
Jogo fell silent, lowering his head slightly, the corner of his mouth even twitching into a faint, bitter smile, as if he had accepted this cruel truth.
Sukuna's wild laughter gradually subsided, finally settling into a light, easy grin at the corner of his lips.
He tilted his head back, gazing at the endless white void, as if he could still see that azure blade splitting heaven and earth. His tone carried a hint of regret.
"Too bad..." he murmured. "Even at the very end, I never got to see just how deep that guy's bottom really is."
He paused, letting out a faint, ambiguous chuckle—half self-mockery, half a salute. "Sorry about that, Nero... didn't get to let you go all out."
With those words, he turned, his large hand casually slapping down on Uraume's stiff shoulder.
"Let's go." His voice was low, but carried a carefree finality.
Uraume jerked his head up, a mix of grief and shock flashing across his face. But in the end, he said nothing—just gave Sukuna's back a long look, then stood and silently followed.
The two figures, one ahead and one behind, stepped into the pure white, like ink droplets dissolving into milk, rapidly fading and vanishing.
Jogo watched Sukuna disappear, slowly smiling. "Isn't that right, Sukuna?"
With that, Jogo's figure also dissolved into the void.
Mahito's mocking laughter cut off abruptly. His eyes went wide as he stared back and forth in the direction Sukuna and Jogo had vanished.
After a dazed moment, he flopped onto the ground like a sulking child, flailing his arms and legs.
"Why! Why are you all doing this! You're making me look like a kid!"
As he shouted, his form slowly faded, until he too disappeared.
In the real world.
Harsh sunlight spilled over the rubble. The lingering aftershock of the slash still twisted the air, making space itself warp.
Sukuna—or rather, Fushiguro Megumi's body—lay quietly among the debris.
The grotesque Cursed Marks, the extra arms and eyes, had all vanished. He had returned to the form of that black-haired boy.
His chest rose and fell faintly. He was simply unconscious.
Chen Tian looked down at the unconscious Fushiguro Megumi, the Enma Sword already sheathed.
Several figures appeared beside Chen Tian in an instant. Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Kento Nanami, Haguruma Kanko, and finally Kurusu Hana, who descended with her feathered wings.
"Yo, kid!" Gojo's face lit up with a brilliant grin as he casually reached out to slap Chen Tian's shoulder. "Nice work!"
Chen Tian turned his head, his pitch-black eyes coldly sweeping over Gojo.
That look made Gojo's hand freeze mid-air, his expression turning sheepish.
"Sukuna is dead," Chen Tian said, his voice utterly flat. "Fushiguro Megumi is fine." He shifted his gaze back to the boy on the ground. "I cut Sukuna's soul."
The smile froze on Gojo's face. His eyes went wide again.
He whipped his head around to stare at Fushiguro Megumi, his Six Eyes working like a high-speed precision scanner, sweeping over the boy's body.
"This..." Gojo's voice cracked.
Fushiguro Megumi lay there peacefully, his Cursed Energy flowing weakly but steadily. The overwhelming cursed presence of Sukuna had vanished completely, as if it had never existed. Truly... not a scratch!
"Whaaa—!" Gojo suddenly jumped up on the spot, like a kid discovering a new toy, frantically miming cutting motions in the air with both hands. "What kind of technique is that?! A soul slash?!"
"Hey hey hey! That's cheating, isn't it?! How did you lock onto the soul?! A precise stripping at the rule level?! What's the principle behind it?!"
He was bouncing with excitement, leaning in so close that his blue Six Eyes were almost pressed against Chen Tian's cold face, trying to dig the answer out of his gaze.
Yuji Itadori didn't hear a word Gojo was shouting.
The moment he confirmed that Sukuna's presence was completely gone and Fushiguro Megumi was truly alive, a tidal wave of joy shattered his taut nerves. "Megumi—!"
He shouted, charging forward like a cannonball, dropping heavily to his knees beside Fushiguro Megumi. His trembling hand carefully reached for the boy's carotid artery.
Beneath his fingers, a clear, strong pulse beat.
Yuji's body shuddered violently. All the tension drained from him in an instant, and he collapsed, his forehead pressing hard into the cold ground, his shoulders heaving.
The choked sobs he had held back finally burst forth, mixed with the wild joy of survival and unstoppable tears. "Thank god... thank god..."
Tears fell in heavy drops, hitting the dust.
"...Unbelievable." Kento Nanami adjusted his glasses, his eyes locked onto Chen Tian and the Enma Sword at his waist.
Cutting the soul... That kind of power was beyond his understanding of common sense.
Haguruma Kanko gasped for breath. The crushing pressure from that world-ending slash still seemed to squeeze his heart. He looked at Chen Tian's calm profile, then at the unharmed Fushiguro Megumi on the ground. Only deep wariness remained on his face.
Kurusu Hana's pure white wings fluttered once as she landed beside Fushiguro Megumi, moving even half a beat faster than Yuji Itadori.
Her palm reached toward Fushiguro's chest, her fingertips trembling faintly.
When the steady, powerful pulse truly reached her fingertips, her tense body instantly relaxed, her shoulders sagging slightly.
Unlike Yuji's fierce cries and collapse, she simply placed both hands gently over Fushiguro's chest, feeling the rhythm of life, clear tears silently streaming down her cheeks.
Chen Tian withdrew his gaze from Fushiguro Megumi and turned to Satoru Gojo, who was still making cutting gestures at the air.
"Things here aren't completely over yet."
Satoru Gojo finally stopped his wild gesticulations, his cerulean Six Eyes looking at him with curiosity.
"Fushiguro Megumi's sister," Chen Tian continued, "has been taken over by another old hag." He paused, then added, "That woman came here chasing after Sukuna."
Having said that, he casually looked up at the sky, which had turned blue again, then glanced down at the watch on his wrist.
"Mm, 15:32."
Then, Chen Tian turned his gaze back to Satoru Gojo, speaking succinctly:
"Leaving it to you, Gojo."
The moment the words left his mouth, he reversed his grip on the Enma Sword Hilt at his waist.
A flash of azure blade light streaked by, the edge carving a cross in the air before him.
Blue-violet energy tore like ripped fabric, instantly splitting a rift in the space before him—a portal with unstable electric light flickering along its edges, revealing a blurred, distorted scene on the other side.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Satoru Gojo shouted loudly. "Where are you going?!"
Chen Tian had already stepped one foot into the portal, half his body submerged in the flowing blue-violet glow. Without turning his head, he left only a final, light remark, its tail swallowed by the hum of the Spatial Tear:
"Going home. Eating. Sleeping. Hugging my girlfriend."
Chapter 21: Young Miss
A flash of blue-violet light, and the portal along with Chen Tian vanished completely. The lingering smell of ozone in the air was quickly blown away by the wind, leaving only the echo of "hugging my girlfriend" drifting in the sunlight.
On the ruins, there was utter silence.
Satoru Gojo's hand was still frozen mid-air, pointing at the empty space before him.
He blinked, a hint of bewilderment and... speechlessness in his eyes?
He slowly turned his head, his gaze sweeping over the people around him.
Yuji Itadori was still kneeling beside Fushiguro Megumi, tears and snot running down his face, his mind clearly not yet fully recovered from the extreme swings of grief and joy.
Nanami Kento adjusted his glasses, the lenses reflecting cold light, his expression blank.
Haguruma Kanko wore a pained look, as if lost in thought.
Kurusu Hana gently touched Fushiguro's chest, confirming his heartbeat, seemingly not paying much attention to the conversation just now.
Satoru Gojo's gaze finally settled on Nanami Kento's face. The corner of his mouth twitched as he pointed at where Chen Tian had disappeared, asking word by word, "He... just now... said... going home... hugging his girlfriend?"
Nanami Kento nodded expressionlessly. "Mm."
"Aaaah—!!!" Satoru Gojo suddenly let out an exaggerated wail. From somewhere, he instantly produced a pure white handkerchief, stuffed it into his mouth, and bit down hard, letting out a muffled sob: "Damn it~~ Why! I don't even have a girlfriend~~~"
Nanami Kento remained utterly unfazed, seemingly long accustomed to this kind of Gojo-style madness.
He pushed up his glasses, his voice steady and calm, directly steering the conversation back on track: "Gojo, regarding the judgment from the jujutsu higher-ups, I think you need to know."
"Hm?" Satoru Gojo's motion of biting the handkerchief abruptly stopped.
The neurotic, clowning demeanor from a moment ago vanished from his face completely.
He straightened up, the corners of his lips curling back into that arrogant smile.
He lifted his chin, turning his head slightly to look at Nanami Kento, his eyes full of disdain: "Ah, those old tangerine peels are causing trouble again?"
"It doesn't matter," Satoru Gojo's gaze fell back on the unconscious Fushiguro Megumi on the ground. "Let's deal with Fushiguro's sister first."
He stepped toward Fushiguro, sunlight falling on his tall, straight back. Though his tone was calm, his words were sharp: "Then we'll deal with them."
Zzzt! Blue-violet electric light exploded inside the Sapporo apartment, and Chen Tian's figure stepped out of the portal. Before he could even steady himself, a soft body carrying the scent of violets crashed into his arms.
"Welcome back!"
Kitagawa Marin was hanging entirely on Chen Tian, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck.
She was wearing a loose casual T-shirt today, the ends of her hair still damp from a recent shower. Chen Tian casually supported her under the thighs, lifting her up like a koala.
"Sorry, kept you waiting." Chen Tian rubbed the tip of his nose against the top of her head.
"So—long!" Kitagawa puffed out her cheeks, then suddenly buried her face in the hollow of his shoulder, taking a deep breath. "You smell awful..."
She jerked her head up, eyes wide. "Did you take care of everything?"
Chen Tian carried her toward the sofa: "Mm, all taken care of."
"Haah~" Kitagawa sat on Chen Tian's lap, waving her arms and legs excitedly. "I knew it, my Tian Jun is the best."
Chen Tian watched the lively Kitagawa in his arms, the corners of his mouth lifting involuntarily. She was like an excited little cat, fidgeting on his lap, droplets of water from her hair flicking onto his face.
When she'd had enough of her antics, Kitagawa suddenly quieted down, curling up entirely into his embrace. "Thank you, Boyfriend." She buried her face in his chest, her voice muffled.
Chen Tian raised an eyebrow. "No need to be polite."
Of course he knew what she was thanking him for. He hadn't wanted to get involved in this mess at all, but when he saw his little sun worrying so much, her usual vibrant smile stripped of that mood-lifting fire, he changed his mind.
"I'm going to take a shower." Chen Tian ruffled her hair.
Kitagawa's eyes darted around at his words, and she suddenly bounced out of his arms.
Hands on her hips, cheeks puffed out, she said, "Go on, go on! You stink!"
Chen Tian let out a low laugh, and as he stood, he pressed a kiss to her smooth forehead. Kitagawa immediately flashed her signature radiant smile, her eyes curving into crescents.
The moment the bathroom door clicked shut, Kitagawa darted into the bedroom like a cat that had stolen a treat.
She dug out the black bikini she'd prepared long ago, her fingers trembling slightly as she tied the straps.
The mirror reflected her flushed face.
Water splashed loudly. Kitagawa took a deep breath and crept to the bathroom door, pushing it open softly.
Through the billowing steam, Chen Tian's solid back was faintly visible. She'd barely poked half her head in when she met his turning gaze.
"Ah!" Kitagawa yelped, and the next thing she knew, she was yanked into the bathroom.
The door slammed shut with a bang, and the hot, misty air instantly enveloped her.
Chen Tian's wet arms wrapped around her waist, water droplets trickling down her reddened skin.
"W-Wait! I'm not ready yet~ Ah~ you idiot Tian Jun, not there!" Kitagawa's protests were drowned out by the sound of the water.

Deep within an old mansion in Kyoto.
A red-eyed girl walked barefoot across the cold floor, her long black hair tied back with a dark red ribbon. She stared at the number on her phone screen that hadn't been answered, her brow furrowing deeper and deeper.
