The Sarira Pagoda shook violently. The barrier crumbled, and the sarira shot back as streaks of fierce, murderous light burst out. At their head was a white-furred being shaped like a sheep, with wings growing from its back and eyes gleaming with wisdom. Its aura was the most overwhelming, nearly reaching the level of a Demon God. It was Zhu Wu, Demon King Bai Ze, once the strongest of the demons. But fate had not been kind to him: he had encountered Yuan Kong, the Sixth Patriarch of Shaolin, who had attained the Kasyapa Dharma Body, and had been suppressed until this very day.
In the Servant Courtyard, Xuan Xin's eyes shone with excitement, tears glimmering faintly as he murmured, "Old Ancestor!"
He transformed into a streak of flowing light, joined the demon ranks, and handed the Monster Summoning Banner to Zhu Wu.
Behind Demon King Bai Ze, the streaks of light included figures with nine heads and serpent bodies, ones with no facial features but four wings and six legs, and ones shaped like tigers with hedgehog-like skin. They were all descendants of ancient Demon God Great Sages who had refined Origin Blood, and their auras were just as powerful.
Freed at last, they either cried like infants or roared like thunder, turning Shaolin into something like hell.
"Bald donkeys, die!" Several Demon Venerables turned around and tried to attack the Sarira Pagoda and Shaolin Main Courtyard, seeking revenge for years of imprisonment.
At that moment, Kong Hui, inside the Sarira Pagoda, realized that something had gone wrong. He sighed, quietly recited the Buddha's name, and repented inwardly:
"Your disciple must uphold the precept of benefiting sentient beings, sparing no effort to kill demons and protect the temple."
