Lena opened her mouth, but found she couldn't say a word.
She finally understood why Su Xiao Li had transformed so completely in just a few days, gaining such skillful and bizarre combat abilities.
This was something no ordinary training could achieve! It was cheating! A complete cheat code! It skipped the entire process of learning and building up experience, and simply shoved the "answers" straight into her brain!
Although this method came with unknown risks and potential drawbacks, there was no denying the immediate boost it gave to one's combat ability.
And the fact that Si Yao possessed this technology meant that, given enough resources, he could even mass-produce "max-level Super Soldiers" in no time!
At that moment, Lena realized that the "Pangu Civilization" technology Si Yao possessed was probably far more than just the Divine Power Encoding he had shown them.
At the very least, the level of technology he had demonstrated so far had already far surpassed the Lieyang Civilization!
[Ding!] [Angel He Xi, Morgana, Angel Zhi Xin, Lena, and others believe the "Consciousness Infusion Technique" you made up!] [True Points gained: 10000] [Current True Points: 718560]
The cold notification rang in Si Yao's mind.
The corner of Si Yao's mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.
These people... they really were everywhere.
But on second thought, this "passive" way of being watched actually made it easier to lie without seeming deliberate.
After all, he couldn't just inexplicably walk up to them and start bragging about his technology out of nowhere. That would make him look like a complete idiot.
But when he let things slip "unintentionally" like this, the others could pick up the information and fill in the gaps themselves. Incomplete bits of information actually made it easier for clever people to believe their own "conclusions."
Lena seemed about to ask more about the details of the "Consciousness Infusion" technique, but just then, her communicator rang.
She glanced at the caller ID. It was General Dukao. She walked to the side and answered.
From what he overheard, Si Yao could roughly guess what was going on.
Looks like That Monkey was finally about to make a move.
Lena ended the call and returned with her brow furrowed. She looked at her team, whose morale was still low, and felt uneasy. Could they really succeed in tonight's exercise in their current state? If the monkey wiped them all out again, Xiong Bing Lian might as well disband on the spot.
Her eyes shifted, and came to rest on Su Xiao Li. An idea occurred to her.
"Xiao Li Sister," Lena said with a smile, sidling up to Su Xiao Li. "Are you interested in the monkey?"
"I mean the Great Sage Equaling Heaven from Earth Mythology Stories—the one who caused Havoc in Heaven, became the Fighting Buddha, and was named Sun Wukong!"
Su Xiao Li's eyes lit up. She had been fascinated by the Great Sage Equaling Heaven in the myths since she was a child, but then she hesitated and glanced at Si Yao.
Si Yao sipped his tea after the meal, neither approving nor objecting. "Go if you want to."
Su Xiao Li's face immediately brightened, but soon she looked a little embarrassed as she glanced toward Xiong Bing Lian. "I... would it be wrong for me to go? After all, just now..."
After all, she'd beaten them so badly. Going along to watch the fun now felt a little... unkind.
"Oh, come on! What's the big deal?" Lena waved a hand dismissively. "It was a sparring match. There are winners and losers—that's perfectly normal! Knowing your weaknesses is the fastest way to improve. They lost today, but at least it was a wake-up call. It'll stop them from walking around thinking they're so great all the time!"
She spoke loudly, deliberately making sure the members of Xiong Bing Lian could hear her.
At her words, Ge Xiaolun and the others lowered their heads even further, their faces burning. Lena was right. Their training lately had gone to their heads, and today reality had dealt them a vicious slap.
Seeing that Su Xiao Li was still hesitating, Lena decided to push a little harder. She connected to Si Yao's channel through Dark Communication and spoke in a slightly wheedling tone:
"Si Yao, do me a favor! This exercise is important, but look at them right now... Xiao Li crushed their morale. They need to get some confidence back somewhere else, don't they? Let Xiao Li come along. Do it for me, and she can see a bit more of the world while she's at it."
Si Yao held his teacup without even glancing at Lena, completely ignoring her.
Lena gritted her teeth and went straight for the big offer. "Fine! I'll pay for it myself and get Xiao Li the latest Dark Alloy Armor! It's really expensive, so consider it my Thank You Gift for her help coaching today. What do you say?"
Dark Alloy Armor?
Si Yao's thoughts shifted.
He didn't have any technology for making armor yet. Su Xiao Li's abilities had improved, but defense was still a weak point. He couldn't keep letting her fight people with no gear at all.
Lena's offer solved a practical problem right in front of him.
"Fine," Si Yao finally replied coolly. Then he turned to Su Xiao Li. "Go. You and that monkey do have a connection."
"A connection?" Su Xiao Li blinked.
"What connection?"
"Go ask that monkey yourself."
On the far side of the Moon, amid eternal shadow and silence.
An elegant Silver White Spaceship with sleek lines—Heavenly Base Four—hovered like a ghost deep in the shadow of a crater, blending perfectly into the surrounding darkness without giving off any Energy Fluctuation or signal.
Inside the spaceship's Main Control Room, He Xi lounged in the main seat. The enormous Light Screen in front of her showed a live feed of the Super Seminary cafeteria, including audio. It had been obtained through Angel Yan's "indirect" surveillance of Super Seminary.
When she heard Si Yao casually mention the "Consciousness Infusion Technique" and describe how he had turned Su Xiao Li into a warrior capable of taking on Xiong Bing Lian alone in just a few days, He Xi's brows drew together slightly.
"Thought Writing... directly altering the Subconscious Information Layer..."
"This isn't conventional Super Gene technology anymore. It's so precise and efficient, and it seems to avoid all the usual risks... The technology behind this has to reach the Void Layer."
Su Xiao Li's unusual Super Gene, which combined the Fairy Civilization with unknown Divine Power Encoding, her astonishing rate of improvement, and the "Consciousness Infusion" ability Si Yao had just revealed almost convinced He Xi that the "Pangu Civilization" Si Yao represented had indeed made deep inroads into the Void Domain, at least technologically.
Still, the seeds of doubt remained.
The Pangu Civilization... from hundreds of millions of years ago... There were no conclusive Physical Relics or Information Anchors spanning such an enormous stretch of time to support its existence. His word alone, along with the technology he had demonstrated, wasn't enough to convince He Xi of the civilization's true age or scale.
She was a rigorous scientist. She wouldn't casually invent an entirely unknown hypothetical enemy from hundreds of millions of years ago.
The evidence available pointed more toward Si Yao being an unknown entity with advanced Void Technology. There was even a strong chance he was connected to Carl, merely using the "Pangu Civilization"—a concept Carl had studied—as a disguise.
Just then, Zhi Xin, who had been standing quietly nearby, couldn't help asking, "Teacher, when are we going to Earth to meet him in person?"
At that, He Xi gave a light wave of her hand. The space beside her rippled, and a "He Xi" nearly identical to her appeared out of nowhere, though her gaze was somewhat vacant.
"Send her first." He Xi pointed to her clone. "It'll be safer to send a clone to greet him and sound him out."
Zhi Xin looked at the clone, identical to her teacher in every way, then shook her head slightly. "Teacher, if we send a clone... won't it seem insincere, or even offend him?"
He Xi sighed. She understood that all too well.
But she just couldn't bring herself to risk going in person.
Si Yao's methods were too strange and unpredictable. If he had hostile intentions, or if the nature of his power let him target her real body directly, it would be a serious problem.
She thought back to how unsettling Earth was. A thousand years ago, Sun Wukong had been able to fight the Lieyang Tiandao alone. Now Si Yao had appeared, wiping out the Demon Legion with a wave of his hand and using "infusion" to create a god.
The waters here ran too deep. She had no choice but to be cautious.
Seeing her teacher wear such a rare, slightly "cowardly" expression, Zhi Xin found it a little amusing, but she also understood. She took a deep breath, a determined look crossing her face, and stepped forward.
"Teacher, in that case... why don't you let me make the initial contact on your behalf?"
He Xi paused slightly and looked at her young but exceptionally talented student.
Zhi Xin continued, "I'm your student and the Holy Right Wing. I represent Merlot Heavenly Court and your will, so my status is sufficient. If I go first, it will show that we take this seriously and are sincere, while keeping you from putting yourself in danger."
"Besides, based on what he's shown so far, he wouldn't pick on a kid. Even Yan Jie and the others are fine, so I'll be fine too."
He Xi looked at Zhi Xin, a complicated light flashing in her eyes. Sending Zhi Xin first really was a reasonable compromise.
Zhi Xin was talented and important enough to represent the angels' sincerity, while keeping the risk as low as possible.
She was silent for a few seconds, then finally nodded slowly. "All right. But remember: your main purpose is to observe and talk. Don't test him lightly, and don't provoke him. Your safety comes first."
"I'll provide you with all the computing power from Heavenly Base Four. If there's an emergency, activate a Micro Wormhole and return at once. I'll be here to receive you."
"Understood!"
Soon, the hatch of Heavenly Base Four opened quietly. A streak of light shot out without a sound, racing toward the Azure Planet.
He Xi watched in the direction Zhi Xin had gone and leaned back in her chair, letting out a soft sigh.
"Pangu Civilization... Si Yao... I hope you've really only returned from dormancy, and aren't here to throw this era into chaos."
