Angel Nebula, Merlot Heavenly Court

I am Angel Yan, Holy Kaisha's Left-Wing Guardian.

In my seven thousand years of battle, I have fought three great wars against the Demons. We lost once, and 108 sisters who had stood by my side day and night gave their lives.

For justice, we do not fear death.

We revel in the thrill of fighting evil and in the admiration of millions.

We have the most perfect bodies in the universe, yet we do the most dangerous work.

In our battles against evil, some of us die tragic deaths, while others defend entire worlds. The universe is filled with legends of the Angels.

Under the protection of their Death God Karl, the Taotie Civilization cast aside the bodies they once took pride in and housed their souls in machines. They gained greater destructive power, but lost all humanity.

A thousand years ago, out of goodwill, I went to Planet Earth in the Chiwu Star System. The Divine River Civilization had already arisen there, though it was still quite weak.

I warned the people of Earth that the Taotie were coming and offered to help.

But their answer shocked me... They... refused the Angels' help, and in their eyes... I saw that they did not welcome me.

Three months ago, after learning that the Taotie were about to invade Planet Earth, I went there alone to warn its people that darkness was coming.

I was relieved to see that Earth had reached the Pre-Nuclear Era. Still, it was no match for the Taotie Civilization.

There, I also met a little boy.

His name was Yi Chen, and he called himself the Star Bolt Power.

He was an interesting child.

Queen Kaisha told me his genes were powerful, and that she had high hopes for him.

The Queen also said that he... might become my future male god.

The news left me flustered. Something stirred inside me, but... I couldn't figure out why.

I've been keeping an eye on him for a while. He's started to show signs of affection, the most rudimentary kind of love.

It reminded me of a certain century in my past, when I was locked away and made to abstain from desire for a full hundred years. Afterward, the Queen asked me how I felt about men.

I replied:

"I made it through a hundred years. I can wait for anyone."

And then, in the blink of an eye, seven thousand years passed. If the Queen asked me again now, I'd say:

"I've waited seven thousand years. I can wait another seven thousand. I think this little boy is worth watching for another thousand years. He needs to get through the whole abstinence thing, too!"

"Yan, are you there?" Queen Kaisha's voice sounded in Yan's Dark Dimension.

"I'm here, my Queen."

"I heard from that perverted freak Karl that there's news of Morgana on Earth. Go check it out."

"Understood, my Queen."

"You can visit your male god while you're at it. Consider it a vacation."

Near the Great Wormhole Bridge

Vanguard Flagships belonging to the Taotie filled the area, along with countless Firepower Ships. The dark mass of ships was a terrifying sight.

They came from Styx and were one of Death God Karl's affiliated civilizations. They were also his strongest civilization in the open.

The Taotie Civilization was a biological civilization. Its mechanical warriors, however, were the result of Death God Karl's research into Phantom Bodies. He had worked out how to preserve consciousness, then stored the Taotie's consciousness in machines.

The Taotie army had a clear hierarchy. At the top was its leader, Taotie King Shi Ji, who had abandoned his flesh-and-blood body and replaced it entirely with blue-and-white armor.

The next rank included commanders like Wind Thunder and Xiong Lu, who also wore blue-and-white armor from head to toe.

Below them were the Taotie soldiers who had not abandoned their bodies...

The Taotie fleet also had a clear hierarchy. At the top were the Command Ships, where Taotie King Shi Ji stayed.

Next came the Battleships, then the Vanguard Flagships. Cross-shaped barriers around the Vanguard Flagships absorbed solar energy, which was why they were also called Great Cross Ships.

Below those came the Main Ships, Firepower Ships, Transport Ships, and many small Gunboats and Aircraft.

Inside a Vanguard Flagship, Xiong Lu and Wind Thunder were discussing their plans for attacking Earth.

"Our vanguard operation in the Chiwu Star System may have been noticed by some divine civilization..."

Wind Thunder took Xiong Lu's words in stride and replied coolly:

"With My God Karl on our side, which gods do we need to worry about besides the Angels?"

His words were full of scorn. Then he continued, "Our earlier reports from Juxia City on Planet Earth showed a large number of intelligent life forms beyond the Pre-Nuclear Civilization level...

"But Tianhe City, despite having an equally impressive civilization, has no defenses at all against our Taotie vanguard! We can start there and bring death!"

Xiong Lu paused after hearing this, then analyzed the situation:

"Earth Civilization has entered the Pre-Nuclear Era. It has nuclear weapons of varying yields, but its conventional weapons can't break through our defenses...

"Its aerial combat units are even less capable of matching us!

"But if they use nuclear weapons... they could put us under tremendous pressure!"

Wind Thunder agreed. "That's why I propose we fight at low altitude!

"They belong to the Old Divine River Radiation Civilization and place great value on life and morality. They won't use nuclear weapons on their own cities!"

Xiong Lu nodded.

Ever since their battle with Sun Wukong ended, the members of Xiong Bing Lian had moved aboard the Giant Gorge Ship, supposedly to improve their combat training.

That day, the Giant Gorge Ship received an unexpected guest.

"Heh... At your current level, there's no way you can help him improve. When the Taotie attack, he'll still be stuck with a first-generation Divine Body. You're only holding him back. The Angels are willing to train him, and you still refuse?"

The speaker was Yan. She sat opposite Du Kao and Lena, looking at them with undisguised disdain.

Two other Angels stood behind her: Angel Chase and Angel Mo Yi, her comrades and closest friends.

Lena, seated opposite Yan, was about to say something, but Du Kao interrupted her.

"Forget it, Lena. We really can't teach him. If things continue this way, we'll only hold back his growth. But I have one condition...

"As long as he doesn't leave Planet Earth, he'll always be an Earthling and a soldier of Xiong Bing Lian," Du Kao said solemnly.

"Heh... Don't worry. We Angels don't force anyone to do anything."
