Background / History

Yan has fought demons for over seven thousand years. During that time, she participated in three major wars against demons, suffered one defeat, and lost 108 angel sisters. She considers death in battle for justice an acceptable fate, but fears loneliness more than death. 9 24

A thousand years before the main events, Yan visited Earth and warned its people about the coming Taotie crisis, but they rejected angelic assistance. She returned three months before the Taotie invasion to warn Earth that “darkness” was approaching. 9

Holy Kaisha identified Yi Chen's powerful genes and unusually high genetic compatibility with Yan, suggesting he could become Yan's future male god. Yan was initially unsettled by the prospect, but began observing him and later chose to train him personally. 4 9 12

First Contact with Earth

Yan meets Yi Chen at Angel International while warning Earth of the imminent Taotie invasion. After questioning his understanding of Justice, she tells him to grow stronger and protect Earth. 2

She later returns to Earth to explain the Angelic Justice Order to Lena and Super Seminary. Though Lena objects to aspects of angelic doctrine, Yan acknowledges Earth's compassion and reports its position to Kaisha. 8

Taking Yi Chen as a Trainee

After determining that Earth cannot provide Yi Chen with the technology needed to progress beyond a First Generation Divine Body, Yan offers to train him. Du Kao agrees, and Yi Chen ultimately leaves Earth with her. 9 10 11

Yan brings Yi Chen to her residence on Brahma Star, establishes a training area for him, and personally oversees his combat training. Her support enables him to reach the Second Generation Divine Body. 12 13

Morgana Investigation and Earth Judgment

Yan leaves Brahma Star to accompany Kaisha in investigating Morgana's presence on Earth. She refuses Yi Chen's request to accompany her because she considers the danger beyond his current ability to survive. 15 16

After locating Morgana, Yan prepares a Heavenly Blade Judgment, but withdraws when Kaisha decides not to endanger Earth's population against its will. 17

Yi Chen's Disappearance and Return

When Yi Chen vanishes from Brahma Star, Yan searches for him and asks Kaisha for assistance, but cannot find any trace of him. Before departing for Fei Leize, she leaves markers on Brahma Star so he can find his way back. 18

While hunting demons in Fei Leize, Yan monitors the marker and waits for Yi Chen's return. When he finally returns exhausted from System teleportation, she supports him and remains beside him through the night. 20 24
