Background / History

Sasuke grows up in the Uchiha household as Fugaku and Mikoto’s younger son and Itachi’s brother. He strongly craves Itachi’s attention, and Fugaku later begins taking a more active role in training him by invoking Itachi’s accomplishments as motivation. Even as a child, Sasuke enjoys ninja-themed games and particularly favors the Great Fireball Technique because he is an Uchiha 281.

He develops an immediate rivalry with Naruto Uzumaki after their first fight. Although both initially refuse to back down, Itachi compels them to settle the dispute; their hostility gradually becomes a form of mutual companionship 340.

Sasuke awakens the Sharingan after a traumatic incident involving Naruto. His first tomoe is triggered by shock, while his second is obtained through an eye-opening surgery. Though his Two-Tomoe pupil power becomes exceptionally strong, the loss of its former vigor leads him to worry that something may be wrong with him 383 463.

A Dragon Vein-altered Flying Thunder God Kunai connects Sasuke with an alternate world.
