"Xiao Hao, I can be certain that the Great Wilderness you described is definitely not in our world."
"Because in our world, I've never heard of a place like the Great Wilderness you spoke of. You must have come from another world!"
After listening to Shi Hao's account of the Great Wilderness, Ah Rou could not help taking a deep breath before speaking to him with utmost seriousness.
As a ferocious beast with a cultivation of several hundred thousand years, Ah Rou had lived on the Douluo Continent for several hundred thousand years as well. She was vastly knowledgeable and knew many things.
For instance, beyond their world lay the God Realm.
And the God Realm governed many other worlds. Shi Hao might have come from one of those other worlds under the God Realm's control, or perhaps from a world beyond its control.
"Another world? All right... Sister Ah Rou, I'd actually guessed that I might no longer be in the Great Wilderness..."
Shi Hao scratched his head, looking both troubled and dejected.
"Because when I killed those ferocious beasts in this forest that tried to bite me, I discovered strange motes of light drifting out of their corpses. Those motes even gathered into a ring of light."
"In the Great Wilderness, I went hunting with everyone too, but whenever we killed prey, nothing like this ever happened."
"And when I first woke up, there was also a strange thing called a 'Panel' in front of me, with some strange writing on it."
"I obviously didn't recognize it, but I knew it was called a Panel, and I understood what the words on it meant. It seemed to be a mission, telling me to influence this world with all my might. There was also something below called a 'progress bar.'"
"I had no idea what any of it was, but the moment I saw it, I knew I had to complete the mission."
"Only after completing the mission to a certain extent could I return to a place called the All Heavens Reincarnation Palace. And the better I completed the mission, the greater the rewards I could receive after returning."
"This should be what that voice that brought you into this world wants you to do. But don't lose heart. This mission doesn't sound very difficult."
Ah Rou comforted him.
Yet as she comforted Shi Hao, Ah Rou felt a trace of unease in her heart.
Because if Shi Hao had been deliberately brought into this world by someone...
Then since that person had made Shi Hao complete a mission, would they also bring other people into this world and make them complete missions as well?
Shi Hao was still a child, innocent and kind.
He should not pose much of a threat to this world.
But the world he came from, the Great Wilderness, was simply too powerful. What if some particularly vicious and powerful beings had also been brought into this world?
What sort of impact would those beings have on this world?
Within the Star Dou Great Forest.
After meeting Shi Hao.
Because of her kind heart, Ah Rou still chose to take Shi Hao in. She planned to teach him some common knowledge about this world before taking him out of the Star Dou Great Forest and letting him go to the human world to complete his mission.
Thus, Shi Hao temporarily stayed with Ah Rou.
After living there for several days.
One evening, as the setting sun sank in the west.
While Shi Hao and Ah Rou were eating dinner in the wooden house, the ground suddenly began to tremble.
Xiao Wu, who was lying on the table and munching on carrots, suddenly cried out in delight.
"Mom! Mom! Da Ming and Er Ming are here!"
As she spoke, Xiao Wu jumped down from the table and ran out of the wooden house.
"Da Ming? Er Ming?"
Shi Hao was eating grilled fish, confusion appearing on his little face.
"Hehe, they're the two foster sons I took in. They've come to see me. Let's go out together."
Ah Rou gave a soft laugh and led Shi Hao out of the wooden house.
Standing outside, Shi Hao immediately saw a massive figure constantly leaping through the forest beneath the dusk-stained sky in the distance. The tremors in the ground were caused by each of its landings.
Very soon, the figure arrived near the wooden house with a series of leaps.
With a thunderous Bang!, a giant ape over fifteen meters tall descended steadily from the sky. Brown fur covered its entire body, and its four limbs were as thick as pillars. A layer of hard Rock Armor encased its body, riddled with countless crimson cracks that flowed across it like lava. Its eyes gleamed with golden light.
"Xiao Wu, Mom, we're here!"
After landing, the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming happily spoke in a deep, heavy voice as he opened his two massive, half-clenched hands before his chest and placed the fruit he had brought on the ground.
Close behind the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming.
Amid the repeated sounds of trees collapsing, a huge azure ox-headed python slithered out of the forest and approached. It coiled its body and raised its enormous, scale-covered ox head high.
"Mom, who is he? Why is there a human beside you?"
After setting down the fruit, the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming immediately noticed Shi Hao beside Ah Rou. He glared at Shi Hao with eyes larger than bronze bells, pointed at him, and shouted in a growling voice.
Upon hearing this, the Sky Azure Bull Python Da Ming also turned his bright yellow vertical pupils toward Shi Hao.
"Ah! Me?"
Faced with the Titan Giant Ape's accusation, Shi Hao froze. His motion of biting into the grilled fish came to an abrupt stop as he pointed at himself, his face full of astonishment.
"Da Ming, Er Ming, his name is Shi Hao. Shi Hao isn't an ordinary human—he came from another world! A very powerful world called the Great Wilderness!"
Beside them, Xiao Wu, still a Pink Big Rabbit who had yet to take human form, immediately hopped about and giggled as she explained Shi Hao's situation.
"A human from another world? How is that possible! Xiao Wu, Mom, you mustn't let him fool you. He's a human!"
"Humans have always hunted us Soul Beasts. Maybe someone deliberately sent him close to you so they could plot something against you. Don't let them succeed!"
Because he was deeply hostile toward humans, the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming did not believe at all that Shi Hao was from another world, as Xiao Wu claimed. He pointed angrily at Shi Hao and shouted.
"Big gorilla, I never offended you. Why are you slandering me just because I'm from the Human Race?"
"But I really am not from your world, and I'm very strong! If I wanted to plot against you, I wouldn't need to hide it at all. I could subdue all of you right now!"
Facing the Titan Giant Ape's hostility and accusations, Shi Hao held his grilled fish, feeling as if trouble had fallen from the sky. His little face looked utterly innocent as he explained in frustration.
Hearing Shi Hao's "excuses," the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming merely sneered disdainfully.
"Human child, what are you talking about? With that scrawny body of yours, I'm afraid you can't even lift a sword. The people behind you must know that Mom is too kind, so they want to use you to get close to her and Xiao Wu and plot something against them."
"I only don't want Mom and Xiao Wu to be harmed by you humans, yet you still want to lie to me. I'm not Mom. Mom has probably seen through you long ago, but because you're a child, she didn't expose you. I won't be so lenient."
"You say you're strong? Then come fight me! As long as you can defeat me, I'll believe that you're a human from another world!"
As the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming spoke disdainfully, he used a fist even larger than a battering ram to pound his heavy chest encased in Rock Armor, producing a series of Bang! Bang!
"You said it!"
At those words, the little guy quickly finished the grilled fish in a few bites, wiped his mouth with his hand, and looked seriously at the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming with his porcelain-doll-like little face.
"Yay! Yay!"
Beside them, Xiao Wu hopped about and cheered excitedly, delighted at the prospect of chaos.
She loved watching a good show the most!
"Ah!"
Seeing how hostile Er Ming was toward Shi Hao, Ah Rou could not help shaking her head. A helpless smile appeared on her gentle, graceful face.
However, Ah Rou had no intention of stopping them.
After learning about the Great Wilderness from Shi Hao, she had naturally asked him to demonstrate his strength in order to test whether his story was true.
Based on the strength Shi Hao had displayed, he truly had no reason to fear the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming.
Since she knew her foster son Er Ming had an exceptionally stubborn personality.
No matter how much she explained Shi Hao's origins, Er Ming would probably refuse to believe her. He would only think she was being too kind and did not wish to hurt a human child like Shi Hao.
Let these two "little" fellows have a fight!
Perhaps they might become friends after fighting?
