Having found Xiao Wu, the Pink Big Rabbit who had yet to take human form, Shi Hao cried out in delight and quickly gave chase.
One rabbit and one boy chased each other, quickly leaving the valley.
After chasing for some time, the trees around them gradually became sparser. Ahead, patches of brilliantly colored flowerbeds suddenly appeared, followed by a wooden cottage entering Shi Hao's view.
As though she had sensed someone approaching, a woman suddenly emerged from the cottage. She wore a long pink dress, with a tall, graceful figure, lovely curves, waist-length black hair, and a gentle, serene face.
As soon as the woman stepped out of the cottage, the Pink Big Rabbit darted over with a "whoosh!" and hid behind her.
After setting the flower basket in her mouth on the ground, she cautiously poked out her pink rabbit head and looked at Shi Hao with wide black eyes, both curious and frightened.
"A human child?"
Walking out of the cottage and seeing Shi Hao chasing after her daughter Xiao Wu, Ah Rou's gentle, serene face froze for a moment.
How could there be a human child in the Star Dou Great Forest Core Area?
And this human child looks so young—he's probably only four or five years old!
Such a young child probably hasn't even awakened his martial soul. What kind of parent would be so irresponsible as to bring a child this small into the Star Dou Great Forest, only to lose him?
But this child really can run!
Who exactly is he?
Thoughts flashed continuously through Ah Rou's mind, and she found it utterly unbelievable.
While Ah Rou was lost in thought, Shi Hao quickly caught up. Upon noticing Ah Rou, he immediately stopped. Panting, he looked at her, clenched his little fists before his chest, and beamed with surprise and innocent delight.
"Big sister?"
"That's wonderful! I've finally met someone! Big sister, do you know where this is?"
Shi Hao bounced excitedly as he asked Ah Rou expectantly.
Ah Rou froze again at Shi Hao's question. Once she recovered, however, she revealed a gentle smile, reached out to pat Shi Hao's head, and spoke softly.
"Little one, this is the Star Dou Great Forest. Didn't the adults in your family tell you where this was when they brought you here?"
"Adults? Big sister, no one brought me here. I don't know how I got here either."
Shi Hao put on a troubled expression, scratching his head as he recalled.
"I was sleeping in the village when I suddenly heard a voice talking to me. I forgot what it said before that, but the last thing it seemed to ask was, '...Do you want to drink even tastier beast milk?' I said yes."
"Then I suddenly felt like I was falling from the sky and landed right on the ground. My butt hurt from the fall. When I woke up, I was already in this huge, huge forest."
"This forest is so big that I can't find the way out. Luckily, the fierce beasts in this forest are much weaker than the ones in the Great Wilderness, or I'd be poop by now!"
"A voice asked whether you wanted to drink tastier beast milk, you said yes, and then you appeared in the Star Dou Great Forest?"
Listening to Shi Hao's answer, Ah Rou could not help covering her mouth with her fair hand and bursting into laughter.
This little fellow is already quite old. Why does he still like drinking milk?
"Mhm!"
The little fellow nodded innocently.
"How old are you? Why are you still drinking milk?"
Suppressing her laughter, Ah Rou rubbed the little fellow's head and asked.
"I... I just think beast milk tastes really good, so I only... only drink a little bit sometimes. Grandpa Chief said drinking more beast milk helps you grow, and I haven't grown up yet! Once I grow up, I won't drink it anymore!"
The little fellow's fair, tender face reddened, but he still tried to look stubborn as he stammered out a forceful explanation.
"Haha! Little one, you're so cute!"
Ah Rou was thoroughly amused.
"Hehe! Aren't you ashamed? You're so old, but you still drink milk. When I was your age, I'd already quit!"
Never expecting that Shi Hao had been lured here just because he liked drinking beast milk, Xiao Wu giggled beside them as well.
"I quit a long time ago too. I just... just drink a little bit sometimes."
Shi Hao's little face turned bright red as he stubbornly defended himself.
"Haha! All right, all right, Xiao Wu, stop teasing him!"
Seeing that Shi Hao was getting a little anxious, Ah Rou covered her mouth and chuckled, stopping Xiao Wu from bickering with him.
However, Ah Rou was puzzled to discover that Shi Hao was not at all surprised that her daughter Xiao Wu could speak.
She had never heard of the Great Wilderness Shi Hao kept mentioning, but it definitely could not be within their Star Dou Great Forest.
What kind of power could suddenly transfer a child from an unknown place to their Star Dou Great Forest?
Only gods probably possessed such an ability!
Could this child have come from the legendary God Realm?
"Little one, we still don't know your name. My name is Ah Rou; you can call me Sister Ah Rou. This is my daughter, Xiao Wu. Aren't you afraid to see Xiao Wu talking?"
Squatting down and gently stroking Shi Hao's fair little cheek, Ah Rou smiled softly as she introduced herself, asked about Shi Hao's identity, and questioned him.
"Sister Ah Rou, my name is Shi Hao. Grandpa Chief said that the powerful Fierce Beast Variants in the Great Wilderness can all speak. Xiao Wu looks like a Fierce Beast Variant too, so it's perfectly normal that she can talk!"
Shi Hao scratched his head and answered as though it were only natural.
"The Great Wilderness? Fierce Beast Variants? What kind of place is this Great Wilderness you keep mentioning, and what are Fierce Beast Variants?"
Noticing that Shi Hao kept bringing up the Great Wilderness, Ah Rou could not help asking.
"The Great Wilderness... the Great Wilderness is just the Great Wilderness! Everyone and I live in Stone Village, and Stone Village is in the Great Wilderness. As for Fierce Beast Variants, they're very powerful fierce beasts that live in the Great Wilderness alongside us. But this place doesn't seem to be the Great Wilderness. The fierce beasts here are all so weak!"
The little fellow scratched his head in distress as he explained.
"So weak..."
Ah Rou was momentarily speechless.
This was already the Star Dou Great Forest Core Area. Since the little fellow had made it here, he must have encountered quite a few Soul Beasts, and there had certainly been ten-thousand-year Soul Beasts among them.
Yet even ten-thousand-year Soul Beasts were very weak in this little fellow's eyes?
Ah Rou found it hard to believe.
Where exactly was this place called the Great Wilderness?
Was it on their Douluo Continent?
Or in the God Realm? Or... another world?
"Little one, your name is Shi Hao, right? I've never heard of the Great Wilderness you mentioned. Could you tell me about the, um... Stone Village where you lived, as well as your life and experiences in the Great Wilderness?"
Shi Hao's unusual nature made Ah Rou vaguely realize that he might not be from their world, so after a moment of thought, she asked.
Faced with Ah Rou's question, Shi Hao nodded and began telling her about his origins and his life in the Great Wilderness from childhood until now.
As Ah Rou listened to Shi Hao's account and gradually learned what Stone Village and the Great Wilderness were truly like, she grew increasingly shocked.
Because she could now be certain that the Great Wilderness where the little fellow came from was absolutely not part of their world.
It was a world far more powerful than their Douluo Continent!
