Sacrifice

Abilities and Functions

Soul Skill Provision

• Greater age does not automatically mean greater Soul Power cost. Bai Lu describes the Soft Bone Rabbit’s skills as inexpensive enough for an eleventh-level Soul Master to use several times 85.

Seventh Ring: Martial Soul True Body

• The seventh ring normally grants the fixed, unique skill Martial Soul True Body 150 155.
• Its strength depends on both age and compatibility; Bai Lu prioritizes a soul-manipulating beast for Zhu Zhuqing’s seventh ring 150.
• Her 200,000-year ring grants Nether True Body, increasing all attributes by 200% and adding soul-damaging, soul-eating effects to attacks 154.

Consciousness and Soul Spirit Storage

• Soul Spirits reside in both the Sea of Consciousness and Soul Rings, preserving their consciousness and power while granting rings and skills 144.
• A summoned Soul Spirit can fight without consuming its bearer’s own Soul Power 144.
• Bai Lu fuses Xiao Yue into a Hell Spirit Cat ring for Ning Rongrong. The resulting ring grows with her physique, up to 30,000 years 134.
• One ring can house multiple Soul Spirits. Zhu Zhuqing’s Blue Silver Emperor ring carries several Immortal Herb Soul Spirits and allows her to summon them 290.

Modification and Age Growth

• Bai Lu can reshape ring skills rather than accept their original abilities; he replaces the God-Bestowed ring’s unsuitable attacks with abilities tailored to Zhu Zhuqing 264.
• Linking her seventh ring to the torso bone’s Soul-Eater Evolution permits continuing age growth. Every additional 10,000 years adds 10% to Nether True Body’s attribute enhancement 155.
• Zhu Zhuqing can feed her own replenishing Soul Power into the torso bone, enabling gradual evolution without devouring other lives 155.
• Divine trial rewards can increase existing ring ages directly 180 208.

Restrictions

• City of Slaughter: Its Magic Prohibition prevents ordinary entrants from using ring power regardless of ring count or age. Zhu Zhuqing’s seven rings disappear from view and become unusable upon entry 158.
• Law-enforcer exception: The King of Slaughter can authorize ring use; Black Sword Knight Li Qing retains access to his eight rings 162.
• Separate power sources: Soul Bones remain usable under the City’s ring prohibition, allowing Zhu Zhuqing to retain substantial combat strength 158.
• Martial Soul compatibility: The Sea God-associated ring is directed to Zhu Zhuqing’s White Tiger rather than her Hell Spirit Cat 263.

Artificial Soul Ring Development

Bai Lu begins investigating artificial rings through Ah Yin’s knowledge of Blue Silver abilities. He identifies the Blue Silver King’s creation of a ring during Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor awakening as a model, then coerces Ah Yin into discussing the method. By Chapter 203, he states that he broadly understands its principles 198 203.

The project accompanies the Soul Spirit system’s inheritance proposal: preserving Soul Spirits after a bearer’s death and passing them to later generations would reduce repeated Soul Beast hunting. Artificial rings are proposed as another safeguard against extinction 139.

By the beginning of the Netherworld Era, Bai Lu states that ordinary people can create ten-thousand-year Soul Rings and Soul Bones, although he does not guarantee hundred-thousand-year products. He proposes regulated production and redistribution of deceased Soul Masters’ legacies to keep these resources from being monopolized by aristocratic families 337.
