The chess pieces kept falling.
The Silent One and the figure on the Dark Throne continued their game, while Black Spirit and the eight others who had emerged from the pitch-black gate stood to one side, waiting.
"I... lost again..."
The Silent One looked at the board before him and spoke helplessly.
He had already lost more than a dozen times.
Outside, his eight disciples exchanged bewildered glances.
Even beneath the Darkness Dome, the Silent One held an exceptionally special position. He had received the finest training, and his talents and cultivation in every regard far surpassed those of ordinary people.
Was there anyone who could beat him at chess?
Perhaps, but there were absolutely no more than three such people.
And now, he was losing one game after another...
"You understand the Silent Path, and your mastery of chess seems no weaker than the Supreme..."
"Could it be that you cultivate the Dao of Ignorance as well?"
The Silent One looked toward the Dark Throne, his curiosity burning in his eyes.
Among the many Supreme Great Daos, only Shamanic Dance's Dao of Ignorance could achieve this—knowing everything, and thus being half a step ahead of the other Supremes.
"I am not ignorant, because I know one more thing: I know nothing at all."
A faint laugh sounded from the Dark Throne.
At those words, the Silent One froze.
He was a man of great wisdom beneath the Darkness Dome. Otherwise, he would have been unable to cultivate the Silent Path. Thus, he instantly sensed the subtle point hidden in those words.
