Li Fan had taught Nan Feng, Ziling, Long Zixuan, and Lu Rang one by one. They had all obtained the corresponding Chaos Arts.
Li Fan then turned to Qing Chen and thought for a moment. Qing Chen had nearly finished sweeping the courtyard, so it was time for him to learn something else.
But monks learned, well... There seemed to be a book for that in the system, too.
"This book, Eleven Zen, is for you."
Li Fan handed Qing Chen a book.
Eleven Zen contained eleven little stories. Whenever Li Fan was bored, he'd read it like a collection of tales.
But when Qing Chen received Eleven Zen, a look of shock flashed across his eyes.
Eleven Zen was a true, supreme method of Brahma Dao.
It included Debate Zen, Silent Zen, Future Zen, Past Zen, and seven others, for a total of eleven.
With Debate Zen, one could enlighten anyone through conversation.
Silent Zen: silent and wordless, yet unfathomably deep!
Future Zen: know the future with a snap of one's fingers!
"Eleven Zen... This is the most profound art of Brahma Dao!"
Qing Chen spoke gravely.
Zen Buddhism was the most mysterious and profound of all Brahma Dao's methods. It placed the greatest emphasis on one's innate nature and could bring a practitioner to the end of Brahma Dao faster than any other path.
But the more profound the method, the easier it was for practitioners to stray onto the wrong path and go mad without even realizing it.
Yet Li Fan had had Qing Chen sweep the courtyard for four or five years.
He had made him keep company with spiders and sleep alongside ants, tempering his nature through all those ordinary, trivial tasks.
When one's nature was perfected, so too would one's Zen arts be!
