Hello, Miss Granger
As the sun slowly rose, Harry listened to Ron and George's mother shouting all sorts of warnings and threats beneath the train and found it rather amusing.
When he heard George wanted to give his mother a Hogwarts toilet seat, he could only sigh. "What a masterpiece!"
The temperature gradually rose, and more and more people boarded the train. Harry checked the time—it was nearly eleven. The train was about to depart.
Harry had actually been leaning his head out the window the whole time, searching for Hermione. But there were too many people, and he could only guess who Hermione might be. She might even have boarded the train before Harry had.
"Woo..." A whistle sounded, interrupting Harry's thoughts. The train spewed out great clouds of steam and smoke.
A long whistle meant the train was about to leave.
Hearing the whistle, the children who had not yet boarded hurriedly said tearful goodbyes to their parents. Their parents gave them another round of advice they had probably repeated countless times. After all, their precious children would be apart from them for four or five months. It was the first time they had ever been separated for so long!
Some parents still stood beside the train, talking to the children who had already boarded.
Harry found the sunlight too dazzling, so he drew the curtains and lay back comfortably on the bench.
The seats were not wooden, or Harry would never have lain down. Besides, he was the only one in the compartment. A sliding door separated it from the corridor outside. A wooden table stood in the middle, with a long bench on either side. The seat opposite Harry was empty.
He stretched lazily and waited for the train to depart.
The train whistled again. "Woo..." Then it jolted sharply, throwing his body backward.
Accompanied by the sounds of "rumble rumble..." and "clack clack...," he could clearly feel it accelerating. The train picked up speed, and the wind blew in, lifting the curtains and revealing the scenery outside.
It was a sight one would never see in the city. A few houses raced backward, then there was nothing but green. The railway seemed to have been laid through a forest, with tall, rolling trees on either side, lush and verdant. Farther away, a chain of mountains could be seen.
Harry looked up at the sky. Optimus Prime was flying overhead, apparently keeping pace with the train.
"Seriously, why am I all alone?"
"This is so boring!"
Harry sighed and took a plastic bag from one of his parcels. Little Cutie's ears immediately perked up, and its adorable big eyes fixed on Harry's hand.
Harry ruffled Little Cutie's fur with one hand and muttered, "All you know is how to eat. You can't even keep me company. I really ought to starve you for a few days."
"Meow, meow..." Little Cutie leaped onto Harry's lap at once, rubbing its head hard against him and burrowing into his arms. It meowed obediently, acting cute in every possible way.
Harry looked at it disdainfully. "When I see you like this..." His face immediately broke into a smile. "...I'm ridiculously happy." (Luo Bei: Where's your dignity?)
"Come on... time for lunch." Harry took out a fresh little fish and fed it to Little Cutie.
"You love fish so much. I wonder if Hogwarts will let you keep eating fish. If not, you'll have to eat... hmm, slugs." Harry slowly smoothed Little Cutie's fur.
Little Cutie shook its head, protesting soundlessly.
With a crash, the compartment door was pushed open.
Harry looked up and saw a boy standing in the doorway, looking rather restrained.
The boy was thin and tall, awkward-looking, with a face full of freckles, red hair, large hands and feet, and a long nose.
The moment Harry saw him, he knew who he was—Harry's friend, one of the Golden Trio, Ron.
The Golden Trio? Harry thought. At that moment, no one knew what was going through Harry's mind, but the conversation that followed might give them some idea.
"Hello, is something the matter?" Harry asked, looking puzzled.
Ron looked nervous and stammered, "It's... it's like this. The compartments up ahead are all full. Could I... sit here?"
"Uh..." Harry glanced at the seat opposite him. He seemed to want to say something, then looked a little awkward before putting on an apologetic expression. "I'm really sorry, but someone is sitting there. My companion just went to the toilet. I'm truly sorry, but there should be empty seats farther back." Harry kindly reminded him. (Luo Bei: On an actor's self-cultivation.)
"Thanks. I'll go look farther back," Ron said understandingly.
"If you don't mind, you can squeeze onto this bench with me," Harry said with a smile.
"Ah, no need. Thank you," Ron said quickly, his face red. (Luo Bei: Once again, on an actor's self-cultivation.)
"Um, what... what's your name?" Ron asked embarrassedly.
Harry smiled faintly. "Harry Potter." He held out his hand to Ron.
"Oh, God, I never thought... my brothers and I... it really is you..." Ron rambled excitedly for a long while before finally realizing Harry had been holding out his hand the entire time.
He hurriedly shook Harry's hand. "My name is Ron Weasley. It's an honor to meet you." Ron's face had turned bright red.
"Likewise." Harry was exceptionally proper at that moment, wearing his most sincere smile.
In the end, Ron left in high spirits. I met the famous Harry Potter! He even greeted me, and I shook his hand!
The boy named Ron would never know just how deeply malicious the great man with the kind face had become toward him!
Boy, your name was Naivety!
Harry closed the door. His smile faded, and he fell into deep thought.
As he stroked Little Cutie, he muttered to himself, "Was what I did right?" Little Cutie meowed twice, as though comforting its owner.
Watching the scenery flash past outside, Harry smiled. "Who cares? I've already done it. As long as I won't hate my own choice, isn't that enough?"
A girl named Hermione was imagining what Hogwarts would be like.
Hermione was delighted to have made her first wizard friend. His name was Neville, and they were in the same compartment. After buying her spellbooks, the clever and studious Hermione could not wait to start reading them. She knew that proper wizards despised Muggle students like them, so she had always worried that everyone would hate her.
But after Neville, who shared her compartment, learned that she was a Muggle, he instead asked her many questions about Muggles.
It seemed not all wizards despised Muggles. Hermione felt a little happy at that moment. Of course, only at that moment.
A chubby boy walked in, looking disappointed.
Hermione's beautiful brown eyes blinked. "You didn't find your toad?"
"No." Neville nodded.
"Were you too embarrassed to go into other people's compartments at all?" Hermione hit the nail on the head.
Neville's chubby face reddened.
Although they had only just met, she already understood what kind of person Neville was: kind, timid, insecure, and unable to socialize.
"I should have known." Hermione looked helpless. "Come on, I'll go with you."
A friend needed help. Shouldn't she lend a hand? Helpful Hermione never even considered such a question.
"Knock, knock, knock... Hello, have you seen..."
"Thank you."
The next compartment.
"Hello, have you seen a..."
"Thank you..."
The next compartment.
"Have you..."
"Tha..."
Hermione stepped out of a compartment. Three boys were walking down the corridor toward her. A boy with Platinum hair led the way, while two large boys who looked like his lackeys followed behind.
Hermione stepped forward and asked, "Have you seen a toad?"
The Platinum-haired boy looked arrogant. "Who are you?"
"My name is Hermione Granger. We're looking for..." Hermione answered.
The Platinum-haired boy cut her off, his face full of disgust. "So you're Muggle-born. Get out of my way. Don't block my path."
Hermione's eyes immediately reddened, mist gathering in them. She looked lost and helpless.
"Muggle" was already the greatest insult toward people without wizard blood. Its meaning was not far from "filthy beggar" or "lowly person"!
Hermione only felt cold all over. She wanted to refute him loudly, but she did not know what to say. And arguing while crying would look ugly, wouldn't it?
She forgot to breathe. Her mind was muddled, and her feet seemed to stop obeying her, ready to move away.
Why? Hermione's heart cried out. She only wanted to shout it aloud and vent the grievance in her heart.
How humiliating!
God heard her voice, so He sent an angel to save her. Yes, in Hermione's eyes, he was an angel!
"Oh my, this is incredible. What do I see? I see Little Draggy disgracefully bullying a female classmate." A frivolous voice rang out.
But to Hermione, that voice felt warm, like a warm breeze blowing over her stiff body. As for what "Little Draggy" meant, she did not care in the slightest. (Luo Bei: Do you like this hero-saving-the-beauty scene?)
A tall figure walked up beside Hermione and Malfoy.
Hermione glanced at him and was immediately touched by his kind, warm smile. But why was he staring at me?
The newcomer ignored Malfoy completely and simply looked at Hermione's little face with emerald-green eyes.
"Hello, beautiful young lady. May I know your name?" the boy asked politely, his gaze never leaving her.
"I... I'm Hermione Granger..."
"Then hello, Miss Granger!" The boy greeted her warmly as he looked into her bright eyes, as if they had known each other for a long time.
She really was so kawaii!
Luo Bei: Why don't I like Ron? At the beginning, he was jealous of Hermione's excellence and constantly spoke badly about her behind her back. He was timid, cowardly, unambitious, and even made Hermione cry. In Goblet of Fire, he doubted Harry many times and was jealous of Harry... So, do you like my version of the setting?
Also: someone said Optimus Prime was a good name for the eagle, so that's what it'll be.
