Adorable Hermione
Who else could it be but Harry?
As Hermione knocked on door after door to ask around, Harry had already heard her. He had planned to introduce himself after Hermione came in, but Malfoy suddenly appeared—and in such a punchable role, no less.
Unwilling to see Hermione upset, Harry immediately stepped out of his compartment and saw the petite figure on the verge of tears.
Like a crying blade of grass, trembling beneath the biting wind led by Malfoy.
"Looks like Malfoy needs some discipline." Harry's eyes flickered.
Malfoy suddenly felt a chill wind blow over him, piercing straight to his bones.
Just as Malfoy was wondering why the newcomer's voice sounded so familiar, Harry's dismissive attitude made him tremble with rage.
"Who are you? Are you trying to help this Muggle?" Malfoy shouted.
Harry turned around with a smile. "Isn't this the not-at-all-adorable little brother I met in Diagon Alley?"
Malfoy's face turned red with anger. It was him—the person from Diagon Alley...
"Well, I'm naturally kind-hearted. So, how about it, Little Draggy?"
Malfoy, whose intelligence was clearly no match for Harry's, finally caught on. "Who are you calling Little Draggy? My name is Draco Malfoy. I'm from the Malfoy family. Do you understand what Malfoy stands for?" As Malfoy spoke, his anger faded, replaced by pride.
He gave a disdainful snort. "My father..."
"Stop, stop..." Harry cut him off. "I don't know who your father is, and I don't know how impressive your family is. But you always walk around with your nose in the air. What's wrong with calling you Little Draggy?"
"You... I'm a Malfoy!" Malfoy had never experienced anything like this in his life, so all he could do was put on a brave front and emphasize his identity.
Harry said, "I really didn't know that the founder of the thousand-year-old Malfoy family was a half-blood. I also didn't know that the Malfoy family, which now claims to be pure-blood, has actually been secretly marrying Muggles all along. I truly had no idea."
Malfoy's face went pale, and he involuntarily took two steps back.
In a war of words, Malfoy was no match for Harry. He felt that his weakness had already been seized by someone else, that there was no way he could win, so...
He turned his face away and said viciously, "Let's go." Malfoy was about to make a strategic retreat with his two lackeys.
"That's right, I'm definitely not afraid of him. I'll get my revenge someday." A surge of determination rose in Malfoy's chest. The great Malfoy will not be defeated!
"Wait, don't you think you're still missing something before you leave?" Harry said casually as he stepped in front of Malfoy and looked down at him.
"What?" That surge of determination seemed to vanish at once.
"Of course, you need to apologize to Miss Granger."
"How could I? You want me to apologize to a..." Malfoy said in disbelief.
"Hmm..." Harry frowned slightly and fixed his eyes on Malfoy. That mild hum made Malfoy's heart leap into his throat, and he did not dare continue.
"I... I'm sorry." Malfoy shut his eyes and blurted it out, then strode away.
"And?"
Malfoy stopped short and asked angrily, "What else?"
"The person you're apologizing to. Are you apologizing to me?"
Malfoy glanced at Hermione and ground out, "Miss Granger."
"Not bad." Harry nodded in satisfaction and patted Malfoy on the shoulder. "You're classmates now. You should get along well, understand?"
Malfoy swore he had never seen such a hateful smile in his life!
"Why are you still standing here? What are you waiting for?" Harry asked in confusion.
Malfoy froze, then practically ran away, with his two bodyguards hurrying after him.
"Um, thank you..." Hermione gave him a smile.
"If you give me that smile after your eyes have dried, I think I'll like it more," Harry said.
Hermione looked embarrassed.
Harry looked at Neville, the chubby boy standing behind Hermione with a frightened expression, and thought, This one's a troubled child too!
"You're Neville, right?"
"Ah, ah, yes. Is something wrong?" Neville asked timidly.
"I'd like to talk with Granger for a while. Could you go back to the compartment first?" Harry said softly. Why haven't I seen Neville's hidden courage? I even have to speak this quietly.
"Oh, okay. I'll head back first." The chubby boy lowered his head and left.
The little girl lowered her head as well, leaving only her thick hair visible. "Let's go," Harry said.
You didn't even ask what I wanted. Why should I listen to you? Hermione thought, but her legs kept following Harry anyway, which only made her angrier at herself.
With a swish, Harry pulled open the door and walked inside. "Come in."
Hermione stood at the doorway and looked inside. "Is it just you?"
"Yeah. What, are you planning to do something to me?" Harry looked terrified and crossed his arms over his chest.
Hermione: o__o "..."
Hermione walked in and sat across from Harry. "So you don't want to do anything strange to me." Harry looked relieved, though there seemed to be a hint of disappointment in his voice.
Hermione was speechless. "Who wants to do anything strange to you?" She looked at Harry and asked, "What did you want to talk about?"
"I just wanted to be alone with you for a while."
"...I'm leaving."
"Haha, just kidding, just kidding. My name is Harry Potter. And you?"
"Didn't I just tell you? Uh, which Harry Potter are you?"
"Isn't there only one Harry Potter? The one who beat Voldemort until he cried for his mother."
"Oh, so it's you. The one who's famous in books like Major Events in Modern Magic and History of Dark Magic." Hermione spoke weakly. She was not shocked, only felt as if her idol had shattered. I'm so tired...
"What kind of expression is that?" Harry asked unhappily.
Knock, knock. Someone knocked on the door from outside.
"Come in," Harry answered.
A smiling woman with dimples pushed open the door and wheeled in a cart. "Would you like some snacks?"
"No, thank you."
"Yes."
Harry gave Hermione a surprised look. She was staring curiously at the strange snacks in the cart, but after hearing Harry speak at the same time, she turned to stare out the window as though something outside was fascinating. Somewhat petulantly, she said, "Never mind."
A smile appeared on Harry's face. "I think we need some snacks to pass the time." He picked through the cart and bought plenty of things—Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, cakes, Licorice Wands, and some other strange foods. It came to one Galleon, filling the compartment table. The vendor shut the door and left.
Too despicable. Too shameless. Hermione cursed Harry in her heart as she continued staring out the window. I was the one who wanted to buy them, but now he's eating in front of me. He must be doing it on purpose.
"Hmm, what's this?" A bag of snacks suddenly appeared before Hermione's eyes.
"Here, half of this is yours." Harry leaned forward, looking at Hermione's profile.
"Who wants to eat your food?"
"I get it. You want me to feed you, right? Honestly, you could've just told me." Harry tapped Hermione on the head with the snack bag.
"Idiot! Who asked you to feed me?" Hermione turned and glared at Harry, snatched the snacks away, tore open the bag, and without caring what was inside, grabbed a handful and stuffed it into her mouth. She chewed hard, as though the food were Harry.
"So adorable!" Harry suddenly said.
"Uh..." Hermione froze, then chewed even harder, as if she were facing a mortal enemy.
Luo Bei: I really wanted to write Hermione even cuter, but I'm too hopeless... 555555...
