Ragnar's expression turned grim. She had arranged this personally, and the people carrying it out were all trusted guards. She had never expected to be stabbed in the back.

"Maybe it was just an accident," Tich consoled her.

Ragnar said nothing. Once she returned, those people would surely have plenty of convincing excuses prepared. But who could say whether it had truly been an accident or merely an excuse?
