He stood at the head of Flying Dragon Bridge, staring at the broken span and the rushing river below. His mind drifted as the memories of his escape came vividly back to him.

Dragon Rock still stood proudly in the middle of the Chongsa River, while the Flame Fist Fortress atop it had already fallen into the hands of the Gray Dwarves.

The southern section of the bridge had vanished without a trace. A tributary split the former Livington District in two before flowing southwest.

After being reshaped by the Kuo-Toa, Livington had become a marshy tidal flat, one of the Kuo-Toa's settlements.

With a long sigh, he strolled west along Dust Eagle Mountain, retracing his former escape route before entering the main urban area.

The Gray Dwarves occupied Flying Dragon Bridge, most of the Outer City, and several Lower City districts east of the Giant Pit. Their territory was the largest.

They were carrying out extensive construction, transforming human buildings beyond recognition. The results were as ugly as could be.
