The Crystal Guardship had one main cannon and an array of twelve secondary cannons.
The main solar cannon sat at the very tip of the bow. It was a multifaceted focusing crystal, normally pale gold, that shone a brilliant white when charging and fired bright white energy beams with tremendous speed and range.
The secondary cannon arrays were arranged along both sides of the hull. They, too, were embedded within it, invisible from the outside, and had extremely wide firing arcs.
With this armament, a few shots could punch through an ordinary small or medium-sized starship.
The Crystal Guardship's hull was already extraordinarily tough, and it also had an active energy shield and an incredibly fast cruising speed. Its space combat capabilities were absurdly powerful. At the same time, it could resonate with a Solar Mage, amplifying their mental power, perception, and spellcasting abilities.
In other words, a Solar Mage could sit at the Magic Rudder and use the Crystal Warship as an arcane artifact, trading spells directly with the enemy. Normally, however, no Solar Mage would do that. It was far too energy-inefficient.
The cockpit had another feature Anse particularly liked: "panoramic transparency."
The crystal hull could switch to one-way transparency, making the walls disappear and leaving the view completely unobstructed. It felt as though one were standing in space, with an excellent field of vision. "I like this warship. Does it have a name?"
"You can ask it yourself." Ronan watched the growing crowd outside, his speech quickening considerably. "If everything is in order, can we sign the contract?"
"No need for a contract. Leave whenever you want." Anse waved a hand.
Ronan bowed slightly. "Thank you for your trust."
"Oh, and take my Nautiloid Ship with you too. I'll ask you for it when I need it."
