Snape's expression grew complicated.
He recalled the materials Charlie had bought from him.
Now that he had the answer to refer to, looking back, he suddenly understood.
Many of those materials were needed for Potions he was currently developing.
But during the development process, he had been blinded by what was right in front of him and could never figure out the correct proportions.
What did this mean?
It meant that Charlie's research into the soul had already surpassed that of the Potions Master.
Snape was deeply shaken.
From childhood to adulthood, no one had ever surpassed him in Potions.
But now, a first-year Wizard had done it.

Snape suppressed the turmoil in his heart and spoke coldly.
"Name your price."
Snape needed to purchase Potions for the Dark Lord. If he knew that a Potion might help the Dark Lord but refused to buy it, the Dark Lord would certainly grow suspicious of him afterward.
Although he was unwilling, he still asked Charlie.
Charlie blinked and revealed an entirely harmless smile.
You said it yourself. In that case, I won't hold back.
"Ah, Professor, how could you say that?"
"As your student, it's my honor to serve you."
"You're our Potions teacher. Giving you a discount is only right."
"Just give me 300 Galleons."

Snape expressionlessly pulled a money pouch from his robes and tossed it directly in front of Charlie.
"Take it."
Charlie caught the pouch and thought regretfully, I should've asked for more.
