Outsmarting Obadiah

There was precedent in the original story for tearing Mark armor apart with bare hands.

In the Civil War comics, an enraged Spider-Man took less than a minute to crack open Mark armor.

Conservatively speaking, Spider-Man's arm strength was at least 25 tons.

If Harry had been equipped with the Mjolnir armor from the Spartan Project, he could have easily torn apart Obadiah's knockoff armor. Unfortunately, he did not have it.

But he had something better.

The lights in the room flickered, and the image on the computer before Harry began to jitter violently.

"Little one, you can do it... Now display an A on the screen..."

Bzz—

The image warped violently, and eventually, a crooked A appeared on the computer.

"Great! Now try this..." Harry operated another computer, which displayed nothing but a large B.

"Remember the voltage state... Now tell me, what is it?"

Leining swiftly passed through the computer displaying the B, then returned to the previous screen.

An identical letter slowly appeared on the screen.

"Wonderful, excellent!" Harry waved excitedly, and Leining happily pounced toward him—

Bang!

Harry's hair stood completely on end from the static electricity.

Harry helplessly smoothed down his hair, dispelling the static.

It felt like teaching a child to read, except this "child" was rather special.

After a while, Harry's phone rang.

"Mr. Osborn, I think there's something you should know." It was Pepper calling. "Obadiah has privately conducted some kind of weapons test beneath Area 16 of the Arc Reactor."

Her voice was hurried, as though she was on the move.

"Really? What kind of weapon is it? Does Tony know?"

Harry leisurely poured himself a drink.

"I don't know, but it looks a lot like the Osborn Group's Power Armor. I've already contacted... anyway, some government department. They're heading there now."

"Alright, I understand. I'll be there right away. Keep the situation under control for now."

After hanging up, Harry called Heli.

"Something happened at Stark Industries. Have our team get ready. The Military and Congress will be coming to negotiate soon. Agree to their conditions for upgrading the armor, but I want a controlling stake in Stark Industries."

Obadiah was currently the company's de facto controller, but once Harry sent him to prison, someone would be there to discuss terms with him.

"Understood. Do you need a plane?"

"No, I'll go myself."

With that, Harry put on his suit. The Green Goblin glider slowly hovered before him.

"Time to get out and stretch a little, Leining."

Leining eagerly merged into the glider, and Harry soon vanished into the night sky.

"Damn it, the Osborn Group's Power Armor can't stop those things!"

"Then have them evacuate the civilians!"

In the city, the government was in complete chaos. To maintain order, the Military had even deployed into the urban area.

The facts proved that Power Armor was indeed more agile and practical in the city.

Though unable to confront them head-on, it was very useful for protecting civilians.

In just this short time, the streets had already been littered with cars overturned by those two unidentified weapons. The Military could only evacuate civilians from the sidelines, using Power Armor to keep vehicles and debris from flying beyond their battle zone.

"The battle between the two steel behemoths has already injured over a hundred civilians."

Bang!

The footage sent back by reporters on the front lines was horrifying.

"Save my parents—"

A little girl covered in blood clung to a Power Armor unit standing guard. Guided by the girl, several Power Armor units successfully moved aside an overturned car and rescued the couple trapped beneath it.

Just as everyone was about to cheer, the car suddenly exploded!

Boom!

"Oh my God!" The reporter covered her mouth.

The atmosphere at the scene dropped to freezing point...

The camera quickly focused on the scene.

But when the flames cleared, people saw several Power Armor suits successfully shielding the injured couple. The explosion had not hurt anyone, and the Power Armor only bore a few scorch marks on their backs!

"Oh my God! They're okay!"

"My God... they're practically guardian angels!"

"I have to say, maybe I used to bash the Federal Government a little too hard." Netizens discussed it online.

"Really? Why do I feel like they can't be unrelated to this?" The Federal Government took the blame again—nothing to be done about it; their reputation was too poor.

"Why aren't you suspecting Stark Industries? Or Osborn?"

"I agree with suspecting Stark Industries. But Osborn Industries? In case you didn't know, there isn't an Osborn branch here!"

"Hey, that's what I thought too. Besides, look at those Power Armor suits. My God, they make people feel so safe."

"What's that? A fighter jet?"

Sharp-eyed netizens noticed something seemingly speeding forward in the distance on the broadcast feed—

"It's a sonic boom!"

It was Harry.

"Looks like you're about to lose to your own imitation, Tony." Harry did not join the fight immediately, instead contacting Tony first.

"Are you going to keep flying circles around us, or are you going to help me beat the crap out of this big idiot?" Tony climbed out of the wall.

"Get me a Jarvis too."

"Did you hear that, Jarvis? You're pretty popular. Deal." Tony did not haggle any further. He understood how great an impact fighting Obadiah would have on civilians.

"Remember the second race you lost?" Harry gave him a small hint.

It made Harry feel rather like a plagiarist—after all, Tony could have thought of this method himself.

Tony froze for a moment, then immediately understood what Harry meant.

"Of course. The one where you jumped the gun." His mouth was still stubborn, though.

Then Harry saw the two of them shoot upward in unison, like rockets launching.

Seeing that Obadiah had already taken the bait, Harry joined this climbing race as well, instantly flying up to the same altitude as the two of them.

"See that, Tony? I'm still faster than you. What round is this now?"

"Can you shut up for a while?"

Unlike the relatively relaxed atmosphere between the two, Obadiah was covered in question marks.

"Who's this guy now? You'd rather give the technology to someone else than hand it over to the company?" Obadiah had not noticed the thick layer of frost already forming over his armor.

"Forget that for now. How did you solve the icing problem?"

"The icing problem?"

The thick ice blocked the armor's power circuits, and Obadiah's armor immediately lost its mobility.

Thud.

Tony viciously knocked Obadiah on the head. The crisp sound proved it was a good head.

"Are you venting your dissatisfaction over me knocking you on the head last time?" Harry teased.

"Could you not—" Before Tony could finish, Jarvis's low-energy warning choked back the rest of his words.

"Let's call this a friendly sponsorship." Like he was picking up a small animal, Harry grabbed Tony and lifted him up.
