Why didn't Kaido want to break free? After Whitebeard's battle several years ago exposed the drawback of Prison Dragon Lock Heaven, anyone well-informed knew what price had to be paid to break this move.
And Kaido could undoubtedly afford that price.
But only Ron knew the drawback of forcibly breaking it through brute force on the victim, and it was also what he most urgently needed to accomplish.
Electric currents coursed over Kaido's massive body. Lightning seeped through every pore and wandered between every cell, leaving his entire body numb and unable to move.
His azure scales flickered bright and dim. Having lost control of his body, he could barely even maintain his transformation.
"Were you... doing this on purpose?"
Kaido suddenly came to his senses and stared at Ron in disbelief.
Ron had deliberately provoked him, forcing him to break free through brute force so that the lightning accumulating inside him would reach its critical point and trigger an irresistible paralysis effect.
"Correct, so this is your reward!"
Ron gave a cold smile and shot forward.
Smelling the intense danger, Kaido struggled to raise his hand to block. But his movement was sluggish and stiff, as though a thousand-pound weight were crushing his entire body. He was painfully slow.
It felt like waking up in the morning to find his arm numb from being pressed on, able to move only his fingers no matter how hard he tried.
That speed was naturally useless against Ron. Ron tilted his head aside to evade Kaido's arm sweeping across in front of him, leaving behind a trail of blue electric light as he arrived before Kaido.
Tap... tap...
Ron planted his feet on Kaido's shoulder and arm to steady himself, then pressed the lightning sphere in his hand against Kaido's face.
