No one dared take the Fleet Admiral's anger lightly. In this sea, strength reigned supreme, and Akainu had won his position as Fleet Admiral after battling Aokiji for ten days and ten nights in a fight to the death.
Even if they did not respect his authority, they still had to respect his strength.
So when Ron ordered the Gate of Justice opened and hurried back from Impel Down, not only were the materials stored in Marineford's Science Unit sent to Headquarters, but even the materials kept in the Holy Land and Sabaody laboratories were delivered there as well.
When he pushed open the door, a pile of documents taller than a person came crashing down like an avalanche, and white A4 sheets quickly buried Ron's feet.
Ron had expected the materials to be complicated and tedious, but he had not expected there to be so many of them.
He raised an eyebrow and asked,
"That many?"
"There's more inside! These are all failed experimental plans and hypotheses."
Tsuru raised her head from the "mountain of books" and rubbed her temples, which were aching slightly after working overtime all night.
"We've already sorted out some of the core documents. They're laid out in front."
"Mm. Thanks for the effort, everyone."
Ron nodded with a hint of apology, then crossed over the "mountain of books" and stepped into the slightly cleaner center of the Fleet Admiral's Office.
Akainu was frowning over a red-covered file stamped "Top Secret." When he noticed Ron's arrival, he quickly asked,
"So Fruit Abilities are actually particle fluctuations that can fundamentally be controlled by humans? And the flesh really is fruit?"
The information recorded in these materials made Akainu feel as though his entire worldview had collapsed.
This was not very pirate-like. It was almost absurdly scientific!
