"Pirate... resolve?"
Ron repeated the words and curled his lip.
The pirates Shanks spoke of were certainly fundamentally different from the pirates Ron believed in. What they each thought and believed was completely at odds, and Ron had no interest in correcting him.
"Do you know what I'm going to do next?"
"Hmm?"
Shanks frowned silently. "What else needs to be done?"
"Heh, it seems you really did help me, but that still can't change..."
Ron looked at him calmly. "Your goal of getting past me and uncovering the Void Century!"
Boom!
A chill surged through Shanks's heart, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
But Ron did nothing, merely sipping his milk tea in silence.
"I'll give you freedom, but not the freedom you want. That would be indulgence."
"Your narrow-mindedness disgusts me, 'Red-Haired' Shanks."
With that, Ron lost interest in continuing the conversation.
"No matter how bold and heroic you may be, it can't change the fact that you're a pirate... but it doesn't matter. No matter what you do, it won't change my mind either."
"Guards!"
Ron raised his voice.
"Lord Azure Dragon..."
Kong and Zero pushed open the door, then dropped to one knee.
"Throw him into Impel Down. Once everyone is gathered, publicly execute them all together."
Who exactly needed to be gathered?
Kong and Zero shuddered, then nodded. "Understood!"
Yet Shanks was not concerned about whether he lived or died. He racked his brains, trying to figure out what Ron intended to do and what he had overlooked.
Before he was dragged past the doorway, he heard Ron say calmly, "You probably don't know this yet, do you? Dragon has already joined our side."
Dragon had joined their side?
