Background

Dragon was the son of Marine hero Garp and was groomed as a future Admiral. Intelligent, capable, and notably unarrogant, he rose to Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral in his early twenties and earned Sengoku’s trust before ultimately betraying the Marines. 74

He left the Marines after the destruction of Ohara and founded the Revolutionary Army to oppose the World Government and the Celestial Dragons. The Government erased records of his Marine past, leaving him effectively a “free prisoner” outside official history. 499

Their clash of wind and lightning devastated Whitebeard Island, and Dragon used a Haki-jamming device and superior airflow perception to counter Ron’s usual surveillance advantage. 367 368

The battle was interrupted by Whitebeard’s arrival. Dragon was later wounded in a single strike by CP0’s Zero, but his strength was still assessed by Ron as comparable to a Yonko-level combatant. 369 372 386

Baldigo Raid and Capture
